Hi, I'm Dan.
My dream job is to be a professional novelist. I've been working on my first novel for about three years now. I've wanted to be a fiction writer for as long as I can remember -- it's my passion and without it, my life would have no direction. I love reading and books and couldn't live without them.
I tend to be a very animated person and I get excited about things easily.
I love the outdoors: hiking, biking, walking, camping, just being out in the sun.
I love traveling and exploring and going on random adventures.
I like unplanned (or semi-planned) trips and getting lost just for the thrill of seeing/doing something new.
Taking a walk with someone could easily be the highlight of my day.
Someday, when I have the money, I want to backpack across the country (and possibly the rest of the world.)
I'm deeply fascinated with astronomy and the universe and I would love to go into space some day.
I wish zombies were real. I think I could survive.
I love board games, whether they be party games or complex strategy. Some of my favorite nights involve drinking and accusing my friends of being Cylons. Also, Cards Against Humanity.
Although I've never played D&D, I suspect I'd enjoy it (or any other tabletop games). I have a general love for all fantasy/sci-fi geeky things.
I read a lot of comics. Some favorites: Neil Gaiman's Sandman, Y: The Last Man, The Walking Dead, Invincible, and various Marvel titles/general superhero knowledge.
I love books. That was the third thing on my profile, but I needed to repeat it for emphasis.
I have full conversations with my pets (three golden retrievers). They don't usually respond.
I like podcasts and I currently listen to How Did This Get Made? and Stuff You Should Know. I love to learn about anything and everything. Sometimes it's frustrating.
I'm very liberally-minded and I don't think the world will end if gay people get married.
I am an atheist and although I will never be swayed from that viewpoint, I love to meet religious people and hear their points of view.
Anyway, that's me. I'm Dan. Who are you?
