My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm pretty bad at self-summarizing myself but after reading enough profiles here I've learned I'm in good company. I'm 30, and one of those Boston Irish catholics that kinda fits the stereotype (though God isn't really my thing these days) I'd say I'm funny, even tempered, and confident without any of the pretentiousness. I don't know how to put this but, I'm kinda a big deal. People know me. Mostly I'm totally sarcastic with the best of intentions and meeting people in bars isn't for me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working a 9-5 that I like so I can do the things I love, specifically write. These days I've focused mostly on jokes, as I'm pursuing stand up comedy. My dream would be to write/tell jokes professionally, though I do find the challenges of my day job rewarding.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Telling jokes, offending people with said jokes, random trivia that doesn't really matter, (especially sports related), poker, negotiating anything, listening and being me? I'm most proud of the last.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Let's see, I'm rather tall. My eyes, maybe that I'm left handed? I guess you'd have to ask people.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I think I'll finally put a complete list here.

Books: A Prayer for Owen Meany, Maps in a Mirror, Catch 22, Slaughterhouse Five, Breakfast of Champions, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings and many more. I'm currently navigating myself through the rest of the A Song of Ice and Fire series and I continue to be amazed by them.

Movies: Once upon a time in America, Public Enemies, The Godfather 1 and 2, Goodfellas, Casino, Wristcutters, Lord of War, Syriana, The Shawshank Redemption, Used Cars, Star Wars, True Romance, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Contempt, Mean Streets, Bladerunner, Dune (Still pretty sure I'm the only one), Mulholland Drive, Jurassic Park, Dogma, Mallrats, Clerks, Dr. Strangelove, and many many more. I could talk about movies for hours upon hours.

Shows: Trueblood, Boardwalk Empire, Archer, It's always Sunny, Tosh.0, South Park, Family Guy, Louis, The League, Community. Though nothing has come close to The Sopranos or The Wire for me.

Music: Deathcab for Cutie, Saves the Day, The Arcade Fire, A Static Lullaby, Pennywise, Lagwagon, The Lawrence Arms, Interpol, Tool, A perfect circle, NIN, The Beatles, Braid, Explosions in the Sky, Delta Spirit, Alkaline Trio, Fairweather, Brand New, The Catherine Wheel, Metric, Stars, Broken Social Scene, Editors, MGMT, Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, David Grey, Atmosphere, Stellastar, and many others. I'll listen to almost anything.

Food: Sushi, seafood in general, Italian, Steak, the usuals. I'd say the snow maki at Kayuga in Allston is currently at the top of my list of favorite food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Good music, good movies, good friends/family, good food, beer and wine, and someone to share it all with.

IF I had to be more specific.
My MP3 player
A Scorcese/Coppola/Kubrick box set.
My best friends.
Sam Adams, Guinness, Ipswich Ale, Anything from the Cape Ann Brewery. Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio (if you have an affinity for this wine you may be my favorite person. Just saying.)
Sushi, Italian, Pad Thai, Mexican, Steak, anything that can be grilled.
Someone to get into a little trouble with.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
telling jokes/writing jokes. traveling, doing me the best I can, and other things.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
hanging out with my friends, going to shows, bars, catching the sox/celtics/bruins.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I tend to overthink things; it makes for great comic material but makes me hillariously awkward at times.

Anything I said caught your eye! I'm a bit introverted, but at the same time, I love to talk about anything/everything!
