I am inquisitive, nerdy, and sleepy.

My Self-Summary

Moved here almost 2 years ago, on a never ending quest of discovering people, music, and art.

I love dive diners and bars. Listening and telling stories, drinking something smooth and feels good.

I have a large fascination with bizarre/strange things. I'm always looking for something, movies, art, music, literature, whatever, that will leave me smiling, puzzled, moved, angry or sad. Nothing worse then a piece of work that leaves you feeling nothing.

I want to get a kitten and name it BATTLESHIP POTEMKIN. Always seemed like a good name for a little fluff ball.

I'm kind of an internet junkie, but who isn't these days. I've ran a few web sites, mostly for fun really.

Always trying to be less materialistic.

I listen to OPB, NPR, PRI, and just public radio in general in perhaps unhealthy amounts.

I always feel odd summarizing myself on the internet. I always feel like I'm saying too much yet not enough at the same time.

What I’m doing with my life

Going to school on and off. I've gone to school for computer engineering and Japanese language studies.

But for now I'm a tech at a local arcade. Fixin and playin games. Its an odd feeling opening up old games that I use to play back when I was a kid. Wacky Gator, Skee Ball lanes, Air Hocky, Dance Dance Revolution, Golden Axe, etc. I love Skee Ball, even though I suck at it. You would think being able to play it free at my work I would be better at it.

Trying to move in to Portland since I'm not exactly fond of Vancouver in it's many likings to my old town.

I’m really good at

Existing, breathing, metabolizing, thinking, seeing, computing, laughing, spinning, kicking, learning, listening, napping, pretending.

The first things people usually notice about me

My voice I guess. I've been told by multiple strangers, including people who have worked in radio, that I should do radio work... Or that might just be a nice way of telling me I'm not pretty enough for film :P

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books/writers:
Hunter S. Thompson, Chuck Klosterman, Philip K. Dick, Kurt Vonnegut
Curently reading, Running After Antelope and The Future Brain

Comicbooks:
Transmetropolitan, Sam & Max, Action Philosophers, Battle Pope, Milk & Cheese,Yotsubato!, Cromartie High School, Welcome to the N.H.K, 20th Century Boys

Movies: (Off of the top of my head, otherwise there would be way more)
Most things by Takashi Miike, Stanley Kubrick, David Lynch or Ralph Bakshi.
El Topo, The Holy Mountain, Blade Runner, Fritz the Cat, Ichi The Killer, Evil Dead, Amelie, Children of Men, Interstella 5555, Cannibal! The Musical, Shawn of the Dead, Fantastic Planet, Pink Flamingos, Momento, Waltz with Bashir, American Psycho, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Happiness Of The Katakuris, Freaks, The Thief and the Cobbler, Brazil, Cat Soup,
The occasional terribly awesome Troma flick
Mystery Science Theater 3000 movies

The six things I could never do without

a bicycle to ride
an internet connection
a flavorful coffee or tea
an engrossing movie
a horribly cheesy movie
a good friend

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Thinking about thinking about thinking about thinking about thinking about circular logic.

Over thinking the concept that the internet, although uniting many has in many aspects pushed people further apart. People may interact online, but there seems to be less face to face (real life) interaction. Sign of the times or curse of a generation.

Thinking about how I could photoshop things I see through out the day in to something more interesting, funny, or abstract.

Thinking about how I need to work on my projects more, like my website or that thing I was programming.

Making up funny conversations while people watching during down times at work.

Thinking about how.

On a typical Friday night I am

Either lounging around the house, working, or doing something in downtown Portland. Each is about equally as likely.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I can't just go and fess up things like that on here, takes away a person's angle of mystery/intrigue.

You should message me if

If you want to hang out. Like off music and/or movie. Like riding bikes in the middle of the night. Enjoy talking about philosophy, sociology, or dumb thing.

Girls, guys, transgendered, doesn't matter. Personality, and sincerity, and a sense of humor matter most.
