I am creative, sincerely cute, and soulful.

My Self-Summary

Haikus on cupid
a truly meaningful way
to commence profile

Before anything else.............

I came across this recently, and was blown away...It has quite amazing visuals of human creations around the earth, and words and music that ae both heart opening (I know that sounds corny, but there it is).
I want someone who's SOUL would be stirred by this video, as mine is:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NN0Kvh4hu4

(FYI - it's not my creation). If you are moved - great, like to hear from you. If not - peace and good luck.
..................................................................

I am open to meeting people for any of the following:

1) Dance partner (swing, salsa, club, eighties night or most anything else)
2) Morning walk companion (usually ending for me at an indie coffee shop
like Java Monkey). Also could be someone to do yoga classes with
3) Cultural companion, meaning live music, museums, galleries, etc.
4) Dating
5) LTR

I am open to your having a child or two (I'm a teacher, and teach kids age 4 through teens).I'm particularly interested in hearing from folks who have are drawn to some form of spiritual path and/or philosophy. People invested in created positive change in the world are on my wavelength.

As you'll see below, I have a busy life with a lot of people in it. And, as is also obvious, I'm looking for something more.

So about me......

I love the feeling of being alive, as on a brisk fall's day.

I like play, and have a passion for being out in a natural setting and walking.Integrity is a frikkin' big deal to me. People will say it is - it's only actually true for so many.

My mind is open and there's no lack of life energy. I do have moments where I get tired, but overall, I'm viewed as highly energetic.

I'm admittedly a seminar junkie - Communication seminars, The Forum, breathwork, movement, tantra - you name it.

I live in a cohousing community in the middle of town - ours has a four acre farm. It's definitely off the beaten path. I think people are searching for more community and connection while maintaining some privacy. East Lake Commons is a good experiment in that direction.

mellow breezy warmth
a beautiful summer's day
why on computer?

Long term friendships are important and I have a good number of them. My network is pretty large.

Along with teaching music, I make a living accompanying at private schools and performing regular gigs and concerts . I have released two solo Cd's. I just recorded my third , called WinterSong. It's similar in feel to George Winston recordings like Autumn and December.

I love traveling, and have been to Europe several times. I'm drawn to expressive events like comedy improv and dancing - both watching and, much more to the point, doing. I was just in DC and saw the fantastic Washington Improv group doing an improvised musical. I interacted improvisationaly with one of the members afterwards and she said: I think we've got a new member.

I have a degree in Psychology and a Masters in Library Science. Interesting and totally unexpected tale how I got to where I am now careerwise - if you're curious,I'll tell you. Psych is still my passion - current read in that area is called Emotional Freedom Techniques.

Creating groups is a passion - I currently run a group that's all about meeting at/supporting locally owned coffee shops like Inman Perks and Java Monkey. Last night (8/5) we chatted around the theme of the carbon tax. Note: I'm very politically and social issue conscious and active. If you're not comfortable with that, I'm not the one for you.

Some friends of mine and I are launching a new group called Urban Strolls later this month.

I am an intown Atlanta guy. I could also see myself living in Asheville NC, Portland, or Charlottesville Virginia, among other eclectic communities. I recently went with some friends to Nashville - also a winner. I have maybe a dozen cities in the US total I want to investigate...

What I’m doing with my life

Expanding my music business, putting out new recordings, doing intown stuff with friends, meeting new people, hanging out with friends,, walking, exploring new interests (like coaching and tango), traveling and doing work for social change. Watching The Daily Show, Colbert and the Onion News Network whenever I can.

I’m really good at

Scrabble. Sorry - if we ever play, and I'm creaming you, no mercy.
I'll just keep tiling it on.

Miniature golf (the more plastic windmills or pirates, the better)
.....I can really kick putt! Regular golf -as far as I'm concerned - is for people who can't smack it through the dinosaur's mouth and right into the hole. Let's see you do that, Tiger Woods!

Massage -lots of practice. Have flirted with the idea of going to The Atlanta School of Massage. Foot massage (reflexology) in particular -I'm considering getting certified over the next year. Also energy practices a la reiki.

Dancing - partner or otherwise (even went to a coed belly dance class)

Creating Music on the spot
Improvising haiku and sometimes limericks
Communication

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I enjoy the Waffle House jukebox
I'm especially amused with their own self-promotional songs with names something like "Raisin Toast and Hash Browns" (yum)

You should message me if

You still have some vestige (or more) of idealism left.

I have my own share of sarcasm and irony. Those are amusing traits - but sometimes on cupid they seem to reign supreme - and irony and sarcasm without any heart or soul frankly becomes empty and boring.
I want someone ( at least for a more serious relationship) who unabashedly has heart! If you don't see yourself that way, that's fine, and best of luck.

So Re Cupid: For starters, you and I are on the same wavelength re messages and messaging: It's a means of determining if the person is worth meeting - or not. (exception is if you're out of town ). It's simple but basic. If you're in a place such that there's not even logistically a potential of meeting (obviously, if we're both interested) I can totally understand, and wish you well, but honestly I'm not the one to message. I totally realize there are folks out there who are just looking for a cyberspace connection without it ever getting to "in person" -
that's cool, but I'm just looking for something different.

Otherwise...

You're intrigued, like witty banter and the thought of an intelligent, creative person who gives good attention.

You are not out of a relationship so recently that you're still on the rebound(!)

You want fun, growth, companionship, and maybe the possibility of something deeper.

witty cute playful
seeking,offering same...Have
you some fun today
