My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Cut to the (hopefully) near future. I have met someone. That future lady will be lucky to be with me, and I will be extremely lucky to be with her. Lots of fun will be had. Life will happen.

I call my mother at least three times a week.

I hope you're having a great time browsing here on OKC. Welcome to my profile. My username is an attempt to show that I am a total music and sound geek. I've been banging on pianos, plucking strings, blasting my trombone, and finding unique ways of making noise since I was three years-old. The fact that I never drove my parents up the wall is a miracle. I'm sure I had other ways of doing that. I took piano lessons for most of my childhood. I was a marching band geek in high school, and a music major at UC Santa Cruz. Though I rarely get paid to play an instrument or get royalties for my compositions, I still love to make music, and toy with sound. I often listen to some of my favorite composers, and daydream that I one day will perform some of my works in large metropolitan theaters and inspire many. In the meantime, I enjoy networking with other musicians, and composers from around the world at conferences. I also have written music for some local film productions, which has been a great experience, and am looking for my next gig.

Other than my musical interests, I am an extroverted, laid-back, friendly guy who is completely fascinated with the world. I always want to know how things work. Remember those books titled "The Way Things Work", and "Incredible Cross Sections"? I love that stuff. I often wonder about things most people don't pay attention to, such as a cardboard box. Someone somewhere designed the box and engineered it, then manufactured it. I can't help it. I just love to "geek out" as Rachel Maddow would say. Exploration of space and the universe is another big fascination of mine as well as American History, and politics. I'm fairly outdoorsy. I love the smell of campfire on clothing. I love the smell of redwood, and pine forests. Going camping with friends and playing boardgames with plenty of booze is dangerously fun. Actually, climbing trees at night with a headlamp after boozing is dangerously fun. I love happy hours and wine tasting. I'm always in search of new happy hour spots. Can you name a few? Feel free to mention that in your message.

I have never broken a bone. I almost never get sick. The last time must have been in 2007 and it was nothing I couldn't handle. I smile at strangers walking by; sometimes I'll even say 'hello' or 'how are you'. I laugh, and joke around a lot. I'm pretty goofy. I love to cook, but hate to clean up afterwards. I don't always make my bed after waking up. I am very ticklish. I terrible at math, but am in love with it. I can sing the jazz improvisations of many famous jazz tunes note for note. I daydream a lot. I can grow a nice beard if you like beards. I usually only shave once or twice a week so I usually have some light stubble.

If you are still interested, and hopefully you are, please read on! Otherwise, good luck in your search for whatever you're looking for!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am a restaurant manager at a very nice and fancy Italian restaurant in downtown Palo Alto. I am also a composer. I focus on dynamic audio and interactive music. Yep, it's pretty sweet.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Crunching fallen, dried-up leaves with my feet. Goofing off, making people laugh, never being serious, pointing out objects in the night sky, astronomy, physics, listening, driving, playing the piano, surfing, rock climbing, baseball and especially sleeping.

That I look just like Aaron Rodgers, especially when I have a full beard. People ask me to take pictures with them all the time.
