I'm twenty-two now, so I guess that means I'm an official grown-up.

I'm a social justice activist, a radical queer, and a professional angry brown person. I like writing, eating, walking, talking, video games, Joss Whedon, and cats. And comics: Scarlet Witch, Young Avengers, Captain America, the Avengers.

I'm a spoken word poet, national prize winning, and like movies a lot. I think I'll either be a teacher or screenwriter. Or maybe I'll just stay in community organizing forever. I like people, I like movements, I like revolutions. I feel like those are the three jobs you can get with those passions, so i'm kinda studying all three of them until I can decide on just one.

In the mean time, I teach workshops on writing and social justice and sometimes even both at the same time! I do that, work different part time jobs, and write.

This is like the third time I've mentioned writing. I feel sorta pretentious. I'm also a good bar trivia team mate. And a decent cook.

I've got some cool job skills, but that seems irrelevant.

People on this site keep telling me I look like Dante Basco. I haven't decided if that's racist or not yet.

My favorite book is probably J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan. I don't have a weird complex around aging and growing up. I actually like Wendy a lot more than I like Peter. I just really love how J.M. Barrie writes. Following that, I love anything by Maxine Hong Kingston and legends and folk takes from my people.

As for movies, my favorites are Cabin in the Woods, the Avengers, Casablanca, and Mean Girls in no particular order.

Favorite shows include BtVS, Dollhouse, The Mindy Project, Avengers: EMH, and Extreme Cheapskates.

When it comes to music, I love hip hop and I love local music, but I guess that makes me just like every other Seattlite. Favorite band of the moment is Kirby Krackle.

Favorite comics are House of M, Young Avengers, and anything with the Scarlet Witch in it. Also, Buffy again.

Sometimes, I stay home and go on Xbox Live. Sometimes, I go out clubbing with my friends. Sometimes, they come over and I bake brownies and we watch a bad movie. Sometimes, we go have night picnics in the park. Sometimes, we go to really trashy parties and stand outside and smoke and act like we're too cool for our other friends. Sometimes I pretend to write but really i'm just being lazy with my cat.
