My self-summary
I am a thirty nine year old hard working self confident man that just happens to do things a little differently.
What I’m doing with my life
I am in training to be the most interesting man In the world. When I'm not training for that though I abide. I am also spending a lot of time editing my profile apparently. Honesty doesn't apparently go over to well on dating sites.
I’m really good at
I like to cook a lot and occasionally people seem to be happy with the end result.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes and my hair seem to be initial subjects of conversation. I have an interesting laugh as well that receives a lot of comments.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
This part really does perplex me. I mean I like movies, tv, music, and books. As do we all. It's just that after I am done filling this section out when I reread what I've written I come off sounding like a pretentious ass. I don't know maybe I just am. Anyway here's some of the stuff I like. I read nonfiction for the most part, a lot of biographies as well as essays about subject matter I find interesting. But I also like certain lighter fare I enjoy English humor such as Douglas Adams and Terry Gilliam. I am a fan of Tom Robbins and Carl Hiassen. I think that Stephen King's character depth is second to none. I not above reading a Grisham novel either, what can I say he is entertaining.
Tv shows, more like networks I enjoy, I am a guy from st Louis and I hold a belief that we enjoy sports locally more than most and I think I enjoy sports more than most St. Louisans. They are my favorite reality television. I enjoy most of what USA has to offer(characters welcome). For some reason I can not get enough of police procedural shows. I also enjoy adult swim on Thursday's and powerful Mondays on sci fy. Sitcoms, the normals, but I am no fan of chuck Lorre or anything he has ever touched. I work nights so without a dvr I watch a lot of IFC and history channel. I also watch a lot of 24 hour news I prefer msnbc but I watch them all (it's good to know what you're enemies are thinking). Finally a lot of PBS (one of the greatest thing we as a nation have ever achieved).
Movies, the Coen brothers are another great American institution, as well as Tarantino. But honestly If the first ten minutes of any movie holds my attention then I will probably watch the rest. Though some such as Michael Bay and John Woo(whats up with the pigeons) should just hang it up.
Now we get to music. Without Pandora I might have hung if up a while ago. What an amazing way to find new music, if only everything worked that well. I like the new Orleans sound and If you think that means Dixie land jazz than you've for some living to do. I like funk, soul, bluegrass, and jazz. The blues are a required part of my week and unlike ska. Reggae can be a little to religious for me. It's basically hymns set to an island beat. Kdhx is one of the greatest radio stations of all time, about the only time I change it is when they play Transylvanian folk songs and even then I listen to a couple songs before I go. I also like jam bands how could I forget them. Band names: langhorne slim, Mason Jennings, the meters, the BoKeys, the Barkays, the Heavy, String Cheese Incident, Rebirth Brass Band, John Cleary, Iris DeMent, Johnny Cash, and Social Distortion. I am sure I am leaving a few favorites out but you should get the gist of it. I think I am done with this section and I might actually leave it alone for a few days. Thank you for playing.
The six things I could never do without
Other human interaction I enjoy occasional solitude but I really enjoy conversation even I'd I disagree vehemently with the other members of said conversation.
I am also a fan of the marijuana. I wouldn't say that I can't do without it. But I like to avoid it if I can. .
Sandals. No real explanation.
I sure I can come up with three more things I really like to have around but not much I can't live without. Other than of course food, water, air. Those kind of things.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Politics in America and they're negative effect on the ability to govern usefully.
What I am going to make for dinner.
On a typical Friday night I am
Well I'm a bartender so my Friday nights are usually held Sunday really late or Monday when I wake up. And typically they involve activities that the general public shouldn't be made aware of. If they only knew what we did with our spare time.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am a fairly open book so this one is tough. But I honestly the thing I try to hide the most from the world is my intelligence.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 25–42
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
Your confident, attractive, and enjoy a good time. If you don't love yourself we will not get along. I am not a therapist nor a tour guide for life. I am a decent enough guy that in my opinion is worth a shot
