Uh. Hi. Grew up in the midwest (America), then did my undergrad in
LA, now in England trying to make the most of a great opportunity.
Is that what I'm supposed to write in this?
What I’m doing with my life
I do science and I dabble in a lot of other things. Currently
working toward a PhD in biochemistry, but interested in music
(mostly French horn now, but a little piano and guitar and have a
dream to learn the accordion) and in writing (right now working as
an editor for a student-run online biotech magazine, but in reality
more interested in working on a bunch of random fiction things
(novel/screenplays/house episode), but never finished anything I
would actually show anyone).
I’m really good at
I think my standards are too high to answer this question. I'm not
really THAT good at anything.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile. Apparently I have nice teeth.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Working my way through some magical realism - just finished 100
years of solitude. Love reading non fiction books about science and
medicine. Mostly just addicted to television, though: The Wire,
Twin Peaks, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 30 Rock, X-Files, Archer.
Casablanca, Almost Famous, Amadeus, American Beauty, The Matrix,
Gates of Heaven, Werner Herzog in general, Wayne's World, Blues
Brothers, Ghostbusters, Moulin Rouge, Singing in the Rain, Rebel
without a Cause, Annie Hall. Best shows on TV currently: Mad Men,
Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad.
The six things I could never do without
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with my lab.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
You should message me if
You're skeptical of this whole online dating thing.
