My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm ex-army where I was a combat medic. Recently I've thinking of re-uping because overall it was a very rewarding experience. Since then I've received a bachelors in chemistry from the University of Central Oklahoma. I have a bit of an odd sense of humor but in a good way ... I hope!

I've also recently started a new position with the state helping troubled and abused kids. So far it's been an amazing experience I have to say. So far I've only ever had rather plain jobs. Jobs where people are there for a pay check and that's about it. It's an amazing change knowing that what I'm doing now really matters not only to myself but hopefully to the kids as well. It's turning into a very fulfilling experience and really that's what I'd love for my life as a whole.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm studying for the GRE at the moment and hopefully will be starting a masters program next fall.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'd say I'm pretty good at listening and generally being able to give some help when asked. Not to shabby at massages either lol.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Honestly, I'm not really sure. I've never asked. I've been told I have nice eyes sooo maybe that?

This is a pretty large question but I'll try to give a general sense of my tastes:

Books- As far as non fiction goes, I generally prefer books with a philosophical or religious bent to them. Some good examples would be Free Will by Sam Harris and God is Not Great by Christopher Hitchens. I really enjoy books over morality and ethics as well as those that cover the psychological ramifications. An excellent example of that would be a book called On Killing. It examines the ramifications of taking a life and what it takes to train someone to be able to do that such as with the military/police. With fiction ... well that is much harder to pin down. I love Christopher Moore and Stephen Kings books. The Game of Thrones and Hunger Games series were also pretty high on my list. Also enjoy my scifi such as the Dune series and pretty much anything written by Greg Bear.

Movie- This is another of the I have no idea where to even start portions. I'm a bit of a movie addict so I've seen many amazing movies that I've loved. Generally speaking, the only genre I tend to not enjoy is horror. Most horror movies that I've seen end up being kinda silly and not in the way I actually like. The notable exception to that would be Cabin in the Woods. I have a huge man crush on Joss Whedon though and love pretty much anything he does.

Shows- I don't watch that much TV but I do have a few favorites such as Game of Thrones, Dexter, Big Bang theory, Archer and The walking Dead. Also have to make time for The Colbert Report and The Daily Show!

Music- This is something else I don't really get into all that much. in fact the only time I really listen to music is when I go for a run. When I do though, I generally like rock of just about any shade as well as a pretty random sampling of just about any genre you can name. For me, it's more about whether the singer resonates with me than the style they use.

Food- Last but not least ... my taste in food is on the varied side I would say. One of the reasons I'm glad I'm no longer living in a small town. I love everything from classic American food such as hot dogs and hamburgers to Italian, Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese and Greek. Basically, if you suggest a place, I'm sure I can find at least one thing I would enjoy.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1 Friends/Family
2 Internet
3 My books!
4 My cell phone
5 Full nights sleep!
6 Did I mention internet? Cause yeah ... internet!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Lately it's been grad school and everything that goes in with that such as getting ready for the GRE. I'm a little nervous but I think I'll be ok in the end. Just looking forward to getting that test over with!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Lately? Studying! So exciting huh? Haha well I've never really been a huge bar kinda guy and I'm not seeing anyone that I'd feel we should have a date night. So may as well be doing something productive.
