My playfulness is undeniable and yet my convictions are serious. It is almost paradoxical. I am most comfortable being my authentic self and as this is my preferred way of being I am highly self aware. I can readily laugh at myself and endeavor to never take myself too seriously.
I lean left; lately I have become embarrassed to be Canadian with what Harper is doing to our reputation internationally.
For those who know MyersBriggs I am an ENFP and what I believe to be of high emotional intelligence.
I lived in Brazil for quite some time so am fluent in Portuguese and have an acquired love of Latin music and very strong coffee. I have travelled extensively both personally and professionally yet there are places that seem elusive to me; I would very much like to visit the smaller Greek islands and also visit relatives in Iceland.
I appreciate my own company though am seldom alone; even when alone, I do not experience loneliness.

My work is fulfilling and I choose to do similar things in my spare time and with similar folks. My personal and professional life intersects a lot! I do all I can to be intentional about how I spend my time in hopes always that it, in some small way, contributes to affecting change for the common good.
And though that may sound awfully righteous, I am cheeky and subversive and laugh through most of it all.

Over time, it has become evident to me that I have the ability to make people feel comfortable enough to approach their most authentic selves. I hold the confidences of many and because of my value of accompaniment, am able to share closely in the lives of my friends. Apparently I am a captivating public speaker and have been quoted back to myself.
I am a good storyteller- both stories from ancient/contemporary sources and yet tell my own life stories with enthusiasm ...
and I can pitch a tent to withstand storms!

my laughter is contagious and I am attentive to the people around me.

My work requires plenty of reading and so usually I choose award-winning literature for pleasure, Man Booker, CBC Canada Reads, some best sellers etc. Non-fiction interests usually are politically charged.
The films I enjoy most tug at my heart strings or make me laugh; clever wit entertains me best.
Music- I enjoy soft folk tunes, though my taste can suddenly go way off into left field and I can enjoy something very popular along with my teenaged daughter. I've been attending house concerts recently and thoroughly enjoyed the intimacy of that venue and any type of music presented.

Though not technically "a thing" I'm not sure how I'd cope without my daughter.

(I'm not really attached to the "things" in my life. I've moved house from one country to another thrice and on two occasions, I opened my door and gave away most of my belongings to my friends, leaving with a couple of suitcases with clothing and photos.)

If "thinking" means wondering I wonder about how my daughter is and if she is well.
If "thinking" means reflecting upon then I guess I'd say politics - both small p and capital P politics
small p in terms of what it means to live in community/ social interaction
capital P in terms of what our governments are doing and how we can affect change.

Truly there isn't a typical night though, if referring to an evening free for pleasure, I would choose either time with friends over dinner and drinks, an evening with a book, or some time to putter around the house. Though if anyone made a suggestion, I'd likely be game.

I think I would be hard-pressed to find a question about myself that I'd be reluctant to answer however, I think it would be best to let those questions emerge.

At the risk of creating just another list to check off, I'd hope that your acquired self awareness derives through a life well lived - that you know of your vulnerabilities and strengths; that you may have a gentle soul and a warm smile that is captivating; a sound sensuality and laughter on your heart.
