I am gregarious, playful, and intellectual.
My Self-Summary
5 things about moi:
1. I'm a huge geek. Video games, cartoons, anime, sci-fi, fantasy,
I love it all and being a geek-of-all-trades. I do enjoy
sundry other things of course, such as hiking, sports, cooking,
etc. I'm just a geek first and foremost.
2. I have a tendency to be too imaginative for my own good, in the
sense that what I'm thinking often only makes sense in my head
until I explain it to others. But then it tends to get good laughs,
which is a plus.
3. I am greatly driven by logic. Even in emotionally-charged
situations, logic still tends to dictate my words and actions,
which I've been told can be quite maddening sometimes by a
rampaging significant other.
4. I'm a very optimistic and upbeat person but at the same time am
a secular humanist and tend to have a very bleak view of humanity.
An odd pairing of outlooks, but it works somehow.
5. I live in the lovely Hollywood District in northeast Portland.
I've also lived in Corvallis and Eugene to attend OSU and UO, in
central and southern California, and in Texas and Arizona.
What I’m doing with my life
In addition to working 30+ hours a week for DHS I'm going to PSU to
finish up my undergrad in Political Science. 'Finish up' being a
loose term, as I've still got 2 years to go. But who's counting? :)
I’m really good at
listening to others and offering up advice, and being the upbeat
conversationalist in most any given situation.
Oh and word games; My vision of Heaven isn't much different than
the traditional floating paradise, with the exception that mine is
strewn with innumerable
Scrabble and
Boggle pieces and hot intellectual angel
logophiles to enjoy them with.
The first things people usually notice about me
is my extreme ectomorphiness. Also most people seem to be more than
a little surprised at such a deep voice coming from such a thin
gronky frame.

Food I'm
pesco-vegetarian, and
surprise surprise
sushi is my favorite nom-nom. Thai and
Indian are delicious too. Not a fan of Mexican or Italian so much.
Mushrooms, polenta, Fuji apples, hummus, herb bread, and mint
Newman-O's are some of my most-frequently consumed edibles. I don't
drink all that often, only when I'm hanging with friends really.
But when I do, gin and tonics and Long Island iced tea's are my
faves.
The six things I could never do without
1. Love
2. Good friends
3. Romping around in nature
4. NPR
5. Chocolate
6. The interwebz
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the most random nonsensical stuff possible. Growing up as an only
child in a small town encouraged me to develop Family Guy-esque
creativity. You can imagine my delight some 20 years later when
along comes a show that's essentially an oriel window into my mind.
On a typical Friday night I am
getting good and tipsy with my best friends while playing games
like Settlers of Cataan, Battlestar Galactica or Little Big Planet.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I squealed with joy like a 13-year-old girl when Tori Amos touched
my hand at a concert, and might've cried. Maybe. Like one tear,
max.
You should message me if
you fancy some random conversation that'll probably include many
things of a geeky nature. I'm almost always up for talking to
anyone about anything so feel free to shoot me an IM
