Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I suppose this is the section where you want to make sure that I
B. Educated (or at least not a moron)
C. Responsible and honest
D. Good looking
Well, let's just cut to the chase:
A. I work at an tech start up. It's hard to describe what I do
here, so I won't bore you with the details. I do enjoy my work, but
I also leave my work at work. I also work with a charity called Tap
Cancer Out. If you've never heard of it, I recommend you check it
out. I occasionally free-lance as a sports journalist every know
and then as well... So yeah, I keep busy.
B. Just finished up getting my MBA at NYU. Now I'm trying to figure
out what to do with all this extra time on my hands... Any
C. Sure. But until you meet me in person, you'll have to take my
word for it.
D. That's why we post pictures here... Duh!
E. Oh, I'm a lot of fun... But you'll have to either take my word
for it or find out for yourself.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Planning a diamond heist. You want in? I need a getaway driver.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Writing on-line dating profiles!
Also, I'm good at making bad jokes (aka "dad jokes"), throwing out
random movie quotes, cooking, useless movie trivia, being a
wise-ass, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, sarcasm, building Ikea furniture,
and for some reason people's parents love me. I'm dead serious... I
go to weddings, and when the couple return from their honeymoon,
first thing their parents ask is how I'm doing.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
You'll have to tell me when you meet me (HA! See what I did

Help your potential matches find common interests.
Is this the part where I try to impress you with my
movie/book/music/food selection? Because if that's really what will
make or break it for you, then you got some issues. Anyways, here's
my list... Because I like to talk about myself.
Books: Mostly text books and scholarly journals for grad school. I
forgot what its like to read for pleasure.
Movies: Pretty much all of them. I'm kind of a movie nerd.
TV: Modern Family, Friday Night Lights, How I Met Your Mother, It's
Always Sunny, TUF, Dexter, Firefly, Buffy, Breaking Bad, Downton
Abbey, The League, Walking Dead, MI-5, Arrested Development...
Pretty much anything not on Bravo (except for Top Chef).
Music: Surprisingly, a LOT of country.
Food: Little bit of everything. Okay, that's a lie. A lot of
everything... And I'm a sucker for a blue box of Mac N' Cheese.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I could say my friends and family and health and laughter, but I
want to be selfish and superficial instead... So here it is:
1. my passport
2. my lap-top
3. my Anroid phone
4. my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
5. & 6. A clean set of underwear and a toothbrush... I'm a
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Winning the lottery and all the selfish things I can do with all
that money. It usually involves a globetrotting trip around the
world with my Jiu-Jitsu gear.
On a non-selfish level, I do think about how I can better help Tap
Also, a lot of people have a thing about knowing the difference
between your/you're as well as they're/their/there... But not once
have I seen anyone single out then/than... Weird.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably doing the Jiu-Jitsu thing. If not, out with friends and
engaging in the usual shenanigans like going to a dive bar, trying
a new restaurant, watching a movie, planning that aforementioned
diamond heist... you know, typical Friday night stuff.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm terrified that one day the Humans of New York photographer will
take my picture and I'll say something stupid that will get posted
and thus killing any chance of getting another date in NYC.

- Able to teach me something new

You believe that there's more to me than what you've read on this
silly profile and you'd rather just meet in person than dance
around a computer or mobile app.
