My Self-Summary
I feel like I'm writing the all-too-painful personal statement for
a college essay again. Like most people, I'm pretty easy going most
of the time. I'm hard-working and organized, but I'm generally the
first person out on a dance floor and I live for game nights with
friends. I've been living in Florida for the last several years and
am slowly readjusting to having an actual autumn again; I miss
snorkeling and flip-flops, but I'm loving the fall festivals and
briskness in the air. We'll see how I feel once winter hits.
What I’m doing with my life
I've been a teacher for the last several years, but I just went
back to school to become a doctor, a huge switch that still scares
me more than I care to admit.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
As a former English teacher, I read pretty much anything. I love
Shakespeare, Austen, and Chaucer, but I also enjoy cheesy
mysteries, Harry Potter, and anything else that looks
interesting.
Movies are my escape. I will watch almost anything that may entertain me, from quality Oscar-winning films to embarrassing chick flicks.
As for music, I like anything that I can dance or sing to. I love 50s and 60s do-wop, and Buddy Holly's "True Love Ways" will forever be my favorite song; second on my list, however, is "Baby Got Back," followed closely by "Don't Stop Believin.'" I suppose I should also admit that I love musicals and am addicted to showtunes.

Right now, I am often studying, but if given the opportunity, I
would be dancing, watching a Red Sox game (I know, clearly this
October isn't the time for that), playing board games, or doing
something outside.
