I'm a network engineer at the employ of this great city. I really do love what I do and where I work, even if it makes me bury my nose into some profoundly archaic and nerdy texts in a lot of my spare time. I've also been known to not shut the hell up about it. Since I spend my work days tied to a computer I am usually out seeking new and exciting stimuli. This includes a brief canoeing voyage on the romantic Gowanus Canal, and more recently, Sundance film festival and a bit of traipsing around Utah.. When it comes to vacation, my ideal beach trip is in Alaska or Thailand and not so much Florida or Mexico or anything approaching all-inclusive. I'd generally rather be sleeping in a tent than a hotel. I recently returned from 3 weeks of mountain climbing and backpacking around Colorado and Utah. Locally, my adventures are generally of the restaurant and bar variety, though I have been on a museum binge lately. I have a borderline unhealthy obsession with cycling; it's not rare for me to go for a 70 mile ride up to some quaint upstate hamlet because I have nothing better to do and the sun is shining. Though devoting most of my time to studying lately keeps these trips on a more domestic scale. Let's ride to the beach!
I like to cook huge recipes of stuff to live on for the week and/or give to family and friends. At this very moment I am cooking a giant pan of kielbasi hash. Poland represent!
Some talking points about yours truly:
I am refreshingly or disconcertingly honest, depending on your vantage point.
I have assembled the greatest 80s playlist known to man.
I've also mapped all of the worthwhile coffee shops in Manhattan and surrounding.
I don't tie my shoes like most people. In fact I don't even know how to tie them "properly." I've made it this far. No, I don't want to learn now.
I was born with a defective or am perhaps missing my shamebone. I am essentially unable to be embarrassed. Please use this to your advantage in creative ways!
I am a bit disappointed I can't add Network Theory as an interest.
After years of being horrible about stretching, I've been getting into yoga lately. Standing straight legged on top of my fingers is my life's greatest accomplishment! Mom's real proud.
I figured out early on that life's about the acquisition of happiness, not the almighty dollar. Not to suggest I'm broke, I just know what my priorities are. Do you fancy going on adventures?
