Hello there, my name is Ryan. I find myself somewhat cerebral, yet at the same time artistic and emotional. As a thinker, I tend to daydream while I'm doing other tasks. My hobbies, goals, aspirations, school, and work all come together like roots forming the basis of a tree, carefully intertwined and impossible to separate. I love to laugh and love (at least trying to) making others laugh. I love the beauty of snowy winters and the comforting silence that it brings over everything, as if time itself slows. I try to stay optimistic in the face of almost certain failure. I can be both tranquil and dynamic, brought on by those I care deeply about. My family and friends mean a great deal to me, even if we get in occasional arguments (I try really hard to avoid arguments. I always hope that people can get along.) I tend to be a good balance of scientific and intuitive about things in life. I love the simple things, as they routinely are the most rewarding.

I'm trying to enjoy life to the fullest. Happiness is what we have while we're alive, so that should be everyone's primary goal in life. I find that comes mostly through other people. Things may interest us for a little while, but it's others who make life what it is.

I'm good with my interests and hobbies and things that I enjoy, which makes sense. Comforting and counseling others (animals included.) Crafting an area that feels homey. Having a great time with family and friends. Writing software. Administrating a forum. Working in Photoshop. Enjoying the arts.

I tend to be somewhat shy with new people at first. This is admittedly kind of a common trait among people. Once I get into a discussion then I love to talk. My playful zaniness around those I care deeply about. Perhaps you can tell me more?

Books: I'm not much of a book reader (when I do it's usually something technical), but I do a ton of reading online, which I feel while not a replacement for what books offer, is still a great way to learn.

Movies: I greatly enjoy culturally significant films, particularly those of my favorite directors, such as Stanley Kubrick. Here is just a small sampling as there are too many to list: 2001: A Space Odyssey. Star Wars (original trilogy: original theatrical releases). Moon. Amélie. Casino Royale. Close Encounters of The Third Kind. Dr. Strangelove Or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb. Citizen Kane. The Silence of The Lambs. Fargo. No Country For Old Men.

Shows: I'm not much of a TV watcher (I watch probably less than an hour of TV a month, getting my media instead from the internet.) What shows I do enjoy are what I feel are classics: The Joy of Painting. Futurama. Tom and Jerry. Breaking Bad. Yes, I'm still somewhat of a kid at heart.

Music: Too much to make a reasonable list from, so a small sampling: Poets of The Fall. Depeche Mode. Owl City. Orbital. Pet Shop Boys. The Smashing Pumpkins. Iris. MoozE. Front Line Assembly. The Faint. Nine Inch Nails. Collective Soul. Coldplay. Boards of Canada. KMFDM. Camouflage. Plus a lot more (I'm pretty flexible.) Don't despair if you haven't heard of any of these, as many aren't all that well-known.

Food: Often times, the simple things, and once again just a sampling due to sheer numbers: Cheerios with bananas. Macaroni & Cheese. Pizza. Salads loaded with cauliflower and broccoli. Chili. Tacos. Wonton soup. Spaghetti. Strip steak cooked rare.

My family. My friends. Love. Technology. Money for emergencies. A functional mode of transportation.

The meaning of life and the universe. Not so much what it is (I feel I understand now what that is), but sharing what I feel is helpful information that hopefully others can use to be happier. The universe is such an amazing thing for so many reasons.

Generally doing what I do any other night, learning and enjoying life. Friday doesn't hold a special significance for me. All days are equal in my eyes.
