I've moved around a bit, but I'm mainly from St. Louis. I still manage to get back there a lot. I've got a great group of friends there and we do a lot of activities, especially in the summer. Barbecues, winery days, float/canoe trips, baseball games, and wacky nights out for people's birthdays. Besides living in St. Louis, I've spent a year in Russia teaching English and a year in England studying medieval literature. I've also spent some time in Vermont and Chicago. I've still got a lot of friends in Chicago and am more than happy to make my way up there for an afternoon of frivolity (or just coffee or dinner).
The work i do now involves reading a lot, but I'm hoping to fit in a bit more relaxing on weekends from now on. I like a good balance of relaxing at home and getting out of the house to go to a museum or see a movie.
I'm looking for a social person who shares my interests in reading (anything--not just the academic stuff I have to read!), travel, going to museums and plays, and the occasional beer or coffee after work. I love pubs and good beer! Enjoying biking and camping in the summer would be a huge plus. Personality-wise, I'll find you attractive if we can engage in some witty repartee, but of course that needs to be balanced with the ability to get serious when the situation calls for it.
Special skill--intense accidental punning.
