I'm Tom - 24 and currently in the middle of a DRASTIC career change - from Civil Engineering to a trainee boy in blue. Still early days - but I can't wait!

I'm passionate about my friends and family and often wonder how the hell they put up with me!

My other passion(s) include music and more recently arty photography (I'm learning!).

I'm still trying to get back into outdoor bits n bobs!

I'm an easy going, open minded person and like to think I'm a nice person to be around..hopefully!

I'm currently in training to become a boy in blue, so that's taken over my life - but I'm really excited about the prospect - although I've a long way to go yet!

Well... its certainly not driving - as certain people will testify -i get terrible road rage - but am pretty calm otherwise!

Listening and talking to friends in need of chattin - damn good at makin cups of tea etc! But generally jus tryin to be me and not something im not.

I've recently taken up the piano again, after a very long absence! I'm still learning, but i'd like to say i'm not bad(!)

The guitar, or at least I'd like to think so. Been playing since an early age - and I've recently started travelling the NW to find places to do open mic.....

I also have a weird ability to remember number plates and phone numbers... no idea why - but it comes in useful...sometimes!

I've been lucky enough to travel the world when I was in school, singing in all manner of places including Spain and Italy, also nearer to home such as Chester Cathedral, The Liverpool Phil' and Worcester Cathedral, culminating in singing the national anthems of Canada and America at a baseball game in the Toronto Skydome!

Tech Support... all of my friends end up calling me when they've broken their computers.. I should start charging!

I don't really know what to write here to be honest! Most people generally comment on my eyes - although I don't see it personally! (eh?!)

I'm quite bubbly and extrovert - but it sometimes takes a while to show through.

Books:
The unthinkable thoughts of Jacob Green, Lord of the Flies, anything by David Baldacci - and I'm currently sifting through a shedload of Biopics.. (Christmas anyone!?)

Movies:
The Shawshank Redemption, Garden State, The Green Mile, Dead Poets Society... far too many to list individually!

Music:
Quite an eclectic taste - I'm a big fan of all types of music, including Folk, Jazz and I really like quite a fair bit of Classical music. I've been brought up listening to The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Booker T and the MG's. More recently though, I'm a big fan the Manchester folks scene, bands like Ten Bears and The Travelling Band.

Food:
Pretty much anything that is put in front of me, I'll eat - though I can't stand onions! I blame my father for scarring me for life at a young age, by eating a whole onion in front of me! I like indian food and Sunday would not be Sunday without a Roast Dinner!

Where I'll be in 10 years. I've finally set in motion my dream career change, so my main aim is to do well!

a) Lazing around like a slob with friends and watching TV or geeky computer games
b) Out on the town - usually watching live music of some kind...and drinking in moderation.. (yeah right!)
c) None of the above

Ive had my heart broken twice - still hurts sometimes but you get on with it.

You wanna chat - or just up for a laugh or would like someone to bounce random thoughts and musings off! I also have the outlook where I'll try anything once - and am currently *still!* considering a parachute jump for charity - although ill probably have to be quite drunk to actually do it!!
