My self-summary
Ohai Mark... I'm pretty lazy and most people seem to think I'm boring. But I don't think so; I'm awesome. I'm extremely introverted and love nothing more than being alone. I dislike most people and I rarely find someone interesting enough to want to spend time with them. I'm not very sociable and pretty shy around new people. I'm pretty quiet unless I'm with friends (of which I have none), and I'm not really into the things that people my age seem to like doing. I am also very surprised that in my 'personality' bit it's categorised me as 'sloppy', because I am insanely neat and organised.

Also, I keep getting people messaging me about my profile. I only signed up with the site to do the quizzes not to meet people. I also happen to like filling out profiles and the like (which is probably why I like doing quizzes).

So I added a photo to scare everyone off. MWAHAHAHA!
What I’m doing with my life
I was studying Biomedical Science at uni. I decided it wasn't what I wanted to do and moved to London in 2013 to fulfill a lifelong dream of living in the UK. I was there for about 9 months and am now back in boring Australia and don't know what I'm going to do with my life. I am thinking about pursuing my ultimate dream to be a director and do a film course. Doubt I'll get anywhere with it since I'm stuck in Perth, but films are the only thing I'm passionate about, so... I've been working as a stocktaker for the last few years (returned to the same job when I came back), which is awesome and I love it.

The rest of my time is spent on my computer, playing games and watching movies. I run a film forum and a horror blog for fun.

I am very cheap to run, since all I need is food and internet, so eventually I hope to have a house filled with animals and become a crazy cat lady.
I’m really good at
being awesome.
The first things people usually notice about me
Usually people don't notice me. When they do notice me, they usually notice that they hadn't noticed me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies
Movies are pretty much the most important thing in my life. I love them. I used to watch 2-4 a day, but don't have as much time now that I've left my hidey hole to attempt life in the real world.

Faves: One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Festen, A Clockwork Orange, Monty Python and The Holy Grail, Brazil, From Dusk Till Dawn, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Le Samourai, Twelve Monkeys, Ningen no joken, Shaun of The Dead, Some Like It Hot, Dawn of The Dead, South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut, An American Werewolf in London, House of 1000 Corpses, The Langoliers Spanking the Monkey, Psycho, The Room, Un homme qui dort, Das Boot, Cloverfield, Frankenstein, The Green Mile, Seppuku, The Matrix, 28 Days Later, Leon, Eraserhead, Dr Strangelove: Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, Eyes Wide Shut, The Purple Rose of Cairo, Duck Soup, Demons, The Prowler, Cranes Are Flying, Ballad of a Soldier, 12 Angry Men, Kocar do Vidne, For a Lost Soldier, Scream, Douce, Killer Klowns From Outer Space, Passion of Joan of Arc, Stalled etc...

I love science fiction and horror (especially zombies and post apocalyptic/dystopia). But I watch everything and anything and tend to be pretty random with what I like and dislike.

Fave directors: Kubrick, Lynch, Cronenberg, Gilliam, Tarantino, Kobayashi, Allen, Wilder, Melville, Gordon, Carpenter etc

Music
I generally hate hip hop, rap, metal; stuff like that. I don't really listen to the radio. The occasional new songs that I do like tend to be that 'indie' sound. I love the 60's and 80's. I also like the 70's and 50's, but not as much. I particularly like new wave, 'classic' rock, and am going through a strange italo-disco phase.

Fave bands: The Beatles, OMD, Electric Light Orchestra, The Magnetic Fields, Sparks, Depeche Mode, Mental as Anything, The National, The Boomtown Rats, Frazier Chorus, The Smiths, T. Rex, Pet Shop Boys, Herman's Hermits, Beethoven, Manfred Mann, Bobby Vinton, Neil Sedaka etc.

I generally listen to random songs rather than those from a particular band.

TV
I watch a lot of TV. Well, I download TV shows, I don't actually watch TV. Here's some stuff I like (in no particular order after the first 6):

The Young Ones, Firefly, Arrested Development, Red Dwarf, Invader Zim, Fawlty Towers, Queer as Folk (UK and US), Monty Python's Flying Circus, Spaced, South Park, Freaks and Geeks, Twin Peaks, Dexter, Chuck, Six Feet Under, Battlestar Galactica, Torchwood, Extras, The Office, An Idiot Abroad, The Outer Limits, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dead Like Me, Blackadder, Scrubs, Little Britain, Bottom, The Fast Show, Breaking Bad, Black Books, Dawson's Creek, A Bit of Fry & Laurie, Are You Being Served?, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Kenny Vs Spenny, Quantum Leap, Pushing Daisies, 24, House, Lost, The Big Bang Theory, Penn & Teller: Bullshit!, Dollhouse, Supernatural, The Sopranos, Castle, Entourage, True Blood, Prison Break, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Thank God You're Here, Burn Notice, Fringe, Farscape, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, I'm Alan Partridge, The Inbetweeners, Angel, How I Met Your Mother, Community, Misfits, Jekyll, The IT Crowd. Game of Thrones, The Smoking Room, Peep Show, QI, Would I Lie To You

Video Games
Portal 2, Portal, Super Mario 64, Pokemon Ruby (and the rest), Banjo Kazooie, GTA IV, Skyrim, Half-life 2, Half-life, Super Mario Sunshine, BioShock, BioShock 2, BioShock Infinite, Sims 2, Far Cry 3, Fallout 3, Donkey Kong Country, Mario Party, Pokemon Snap, Yoshi's Story, Pokemon Stadium, Minecraft, Team Fortress 2, Animal Crossing, Diddy Kong Racing, Dr Mario, Pandemonium, Super Meat Boy, Binding of Isaac, Spider Solitaire, Bit.Trip Runner, Sonic & Knuckles, WoW, Guild Wars 2, GTA V, Papers, Please, South Park: The Stick of Truth, ESO etc

I missed a lot of games due to being lazy and more into films and have started to catch up. Prefer PC gaming to console gaming. I've never been a big fan of shooters, but have recently played some really goddamn awesome ones, so been into them recently. I do like RPG's and MMO's, but as a solo player, I find it hard to keep playing past end-game. I like puzzle type of games because I like to have to think not just button mash. Not a huge fan of sandbox, but some of them are pretty awesome too. I love achievements/collections and questing. I love them so much.

Books
Faves: Flesh and Blood, Family Portrait and Spirit (all by Graham Masterton), Ender's Game, A Song of Ice and Fire series, Bachelor Boys (The Young Ones book), Battle Royale, 1984. I used to read a lot when I was younger (like younger than 12), but as I got older, I got less patient and got more into movies. However I do read a lot of short science fiction and am trying to work my way through the NPR's Top 100 Fantasy and Sci-fi Novels.

Other Stuff
I like lists. And statistics. Thus, I also really love Microsoft Excel. And iCheckMovies.
The six things I could never do without
My computer, movies, music, video games, internet, my awesomeness
I spend a lot of time thinking about
zombies, movies and TV shows. I consider myself fairly well prepared if a zombie apocalypse ever happens - aside from the fact we don't have access to guns and that I'm extremely unfit and would probably fall over and be eaten by even 'slow' zombies. But most probably, I would pwn.
On a typical Friday night I am
Playing on my computer, or watching movies. And instead of TYPICAL FRIDAY night, change it to EVERY night.
I’m looking for
  • Everybody
  • Ages 20–45
  • Located anywhere
  • For new friends
You should message me if
Ok, so apparently having 'Don't message me' here for 8 years doesn't keep people away. So, whatever, do what you want. Then there's the added dilemma that if I like you, I'm too shy to respond and if I don't like you, then I don't want to respond. So, we have that.

I've also answered all the match questions, so if you have a high match/friend % with me, congratulations on probably being awesome.
