My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Atmosphere - The way things look and feel and sound are important. I prefer trees to buildings. I make my living in design so little goes unnoticed. I'm not fancy, merely aware.

A few tidbits:
Lately I'm, liberal-ish with anarcho-libertarian leanings.

I have an attractive personality, funny, fit and so forth. I ride a single-speed bicycle and drive an old Volvo 240 sedan, (silver) for whatever that might tell you. I cook most of my meals and Iwrite books, plays, screenplays every day. I believe I've seen most of the good films made in the last eighty years.

I don't believe in a god. But... wouldn't it nice?

If they came up with a pill so we'd live to be two hundred -- I'd think about it long and hard, and then, like most everyone else probably take it.

I am entertaining, curious, and always inventive.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Good lord. Everything.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making things.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile. (sorry)

Books-- I'm reading "Explaining Madness" at the moment if that gives you any clues. The Secret Life of Plants - Peter Tompkins & Christopher Bird, Charles Fort - Jim Steinmeyer, Wild Fermentation - Sandor Katz and and stacks of research for a current screenplay.

Movies-- Chinatown, Vertigo, North by Northwest, The Conversation, Memento, A Clockwork Orange, Crumb, Das Boot, The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951), Bladerunner, The Game (1997) Death in Venice (1971), Fargo (1996), American Beauty, Flirting with Disaster (1996), Harold and Maude (1971), Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2001) I Am Love (2010) off the top of my head . . . and a hundred others. I'm fond of dark psychological thrillers.

Music-- David Bowie, Brian Eno, Roxy Music, Rufus Wainwright, T Rex, The Smiths, Joni Mitchell, Velvet Underground, Nico, Yoko Ono, Philip Glass, Nina Simone, Jacque Brel, Blossom Dearie, Joao Gilberto ...others.

TV Machine -- I prefer long form (26 hour movie) 3-4 episodes at a time. Download/Netflix

The Wire
Breaking Bad
Nurse Jackie
Mad Men
The Killing - especially the Danish original
Downton Abbey
Flight of the Conchords
Boardwalk Empire
Bill Maher – when I'm in the mood
Enlightened – I want to love it but not yet
I like Stewart and Colbert but rarely watch "live" TV
I'm told I "should" like The Office - haven't got round to it yet.

Food -- A wonderful cup of coffee or tea while I'm writing. Comfort foods. These days I'm into fermented anything, soups and braising. I'll eat any vegetable, bean or grain. I am not a vegetarian but love the food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Computer (okay, I'd survive)
Pad and pen
Bed - eiderdown

Oh, and I'd be lost without my other brains: Google and Wikipedia
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.

On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Writing, having dinner with a friend, perhaps a film.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I dream of living in a tiny log cabin in the woods.
I make my own underwear.
