I'm a full-time carer and part-time student studying to be a lab tech. It doesn't leave me a lot of time to play but I make space for nice people in my life.

I'm 3 months into an ongoing fitness programme, I'm gaining control of my health and my future. I'm a work in progress.

Books, I read anything put before me. At present I'm reading Damien Echols' Life After Death. I drowned myself in the Wilbur Smith Ancient Egypt series for a few months. Historical novels are wonderful, fantasy, contemporary fiction, science-based non-fiction. Anything really.

I will watch anything that ISN'T Vin Dieselesque mindless action. I love musicals, horror, suspense, sci-fi, good comedy. I'm a sucker for 3D movies at the moment, great battles, edge of your seat thrillers and quality foreign/arthouse films.

Music sees me largely stuck in my 80's/90's past. The bands I still listen to most are The Smiths, Morrissey, Nick Cave, Nine Inch Nails, Ride, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Pulp, Blur, OMD, Pet Shop Boys, Prodigy. I have a guilty pleasure for Gwen Stefani, Lady Gaga and Pink.

Food is great! Perhaps it's easier to say what I don't like. Capsicum. Worst Idea Ever. Gnocchi and Risotto meh. Large chunks of chilli on my plate no thank you. Coffee. Love the smell, can't drink it. Anything else in varying combinations is wonderful. I love to try cooking new things but i get really frustrated if it doesn't look like the picture. Loving Indian atm.
