I am quiet, musical, and sarcastic.
My Self-Summary
I'm going to say this before I get into my self-summary. If you
want to start a conversation with me, the way to go about it is not
to use that lovely wink feature. I delete those out of my inbox
because there's nothing to start conversation. I know the people
who don't read through any part of the profile by the winks that
appear in my inbox.
I'm kind of a laid back girl. I like to stay home or go to quiet
places more than I would go to a bar or a club. People tell me I'm
introverted and I've never disagreed with them. I love
books; it's just who I
am.
I look for more than just good looks in a guy.
Intelligence is always big on
my list. It's how I was raised. Momma always said, find a guy that
you don't have to shrink your vocabulary for. And that's who I've
been looking for. But he also needs to be kind and funny because I
love to laugh. I do, however, judge people on how grammatically and
properly spelled things are. If you can't type a coherent sentence
and it's full of text shorthand, I'm not interested. I don't judge
based on looks as a general rule because I've decided that nobody
is gonna look that good when they get older.
I'm really open about who I am as a person. If you ask me a slew of
questions, the only ones I would likely not answer are about sex
and boob size. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a prude, I just feel
that some things are better left for later in a relationship.
I'm not exactly looking for long term here, but that's because I
can't get myself to settle into one place for too long. After
living as an Air Force brat for the first ten years of my life, I
like to move every year. And I'm still young, right?
What I’m doing with my life
Currently I'm enrolled in an online undergraduate program majoring
in English. I'm trying to emphasize the creative
writing side of the major, and so I
sometimes spend a little time off in my own little world while I
write a story or something of the sort.
I just moved to Washington and I'm not quite sure how long I'll
stay here just yet. I'm struggling to find even a part time job at
the moment, but I'm hopeful that I'll find something to occupy my
time.
I’m really good at
writing. It's something I've been doing since I was 16. Originally
I started as a way to get some emotions out that I knew would be
destructive to me if I kept them bottled up. But it eventually
evolved into a passion after an English teacher encouraged me to
take an after school creative writing class she was teaching.
The first things people usually notice about me
are my eyes and smile. I'm almost always smiling unless I'm deep in
concentration and I've been told my eyes sparkle. I'm not entirely
sure what that meant at the time and I'm still trying to figure it
out.
However, if it's warm out, and someone is approaching from behind,
they usually notice my tattoo. I have a half back tattoo of angel
wings and in summer I wear tank tops. I've gotten a lot of
compliments on them. I have a tattoo on my ankle as well, but it's
rarely visible.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
My favorite books are too numerous to list in entirety, so I'll
give you the short version. I enjoy
classical fiction by Jane
Austen, Charles Dickens, Mary Shelley, Edgar Allen Poe, etc. I also
like more modern books by Robert Jordan, Douglas Adams, Orson Scott
Card, Terry Goodkind, J.R.R. Tolkien, etc.
I've seen more movies than I know what to do with, but among my
favorites are
The Princess Bride,
Spaceballs, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Notebook, Forrest
Gump, To Kill a Mockingbird, and so on.
Music is always playing anywhere I am. Bands like
Green Day, Nickleback, Seether,
All-American Rejects, and My Chemical Romance are a few that I
listen to. I also listen to Madonna (circa 80s), the Eagles, the
Beatles, Rolling Stones,
Aerosmith, Led Zepplin, and
more.
Chances are some of your favorite movies and music are things I
like to watch/listen to.
I'm not always a big food eater. I drink a lot of soda and every
time I try to cut back, I just drink more. I also eat a lot of
sweets. It takes a
lot to satisfy my sweet tooth. But I'm also pretty big on
salads, chicken anything,
and
pasta.
The six things I could never do without
1. My family
2. My cat
3. Books
4. My Ipod
5. Writing equipment (pens, paper)
6. My laptop
I spend a lot of time thinking about
where I'll travel to next. I wish I had more money to go traveling
around Europe for a year or so. I've always wanted to, but I've
never been able to afford to.
On a typical Friday night I am
reading or writing. Occasionally I'll go out with friends to
dinner, but generally I'm more comfortable at home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I have two abusive ex-boyfriends in my past. Both left a scar on my
heart that never fully healed, but both have been out of my life
for a very long time.
You should message me if
you're looking for someone to chat with and get to know better. Or,
even if you're just willing to complain with someone about how
poorly people write and speak.
