John Waters once said "Let's make books cool again. If you go home
with someone and they don't have books, don't fuck them." I agree
with John here
Absalom, Absalom-Current favorite book. I love Faulkner. I really
like medieval literature; Old stuff about knights like Ivanhoe (not
really old I know), Le Morte D'arthur, and Chretien's assorted
romances. The old English and antique phrases and the larger then
lifeness of the knights really do it for me. Alice in Wonderland
and Through the Looking glass are like reading Monty Python, which
rocks. I've read every Kurt Vonnegut book and enjoy dystopian
fiction like 1984, Handmaiden's Tale, Brave New World, And Player
Piano.
Video games: I play maybe 8 hours a week, old stuff like SNES, N64,
and PS2, love Banjo Kazooie, Mario games, and God of War
Classics, Like A Beautiful Mind, Casa Blanca, Fantasia, Twelve
Angry Men, Anatomy of a Murder. Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. A
guilty pleasure is watching one of these trilogies on Sunday and
doing no work. Also, Netflix television: Dexter, Spartacus, and
King of the Hill.
I enjoy music but it isn't much of a conversation piece for me. I
like classic rock, metal, and 80s-90s hip hop. Iron Maiden, The
Beatles, Paul Simon, Old Crow Medicine Show, MGMT, Black Sabbath,
Wu-Tang, Primus, NWA, The Rolling Stones, and Led Zeppelin are all
on my Ipod. I like to use music to enhance activities like driving
or climbing at the gym.
I love trying new and interesting foods. If I'm eating out it's
probably something small and ethnic. Indian and sushi are favorites
