I'm a bit of a hybrid. My dad is from Spain and my mom from Costa Rica, so right off the bat I was one of those mixed kids that always wonders where he's really from. I grew up experiencing different cultures and in a very international atmosphere. I am glad I had that experience because I got the chance to live in several countries and in different regions of the US. It also gave me the opportunity to learn different languages and travel, my two passions.
I went to Northwestern University near Chicago for undergrad and got a BA in economics and history. I also studied a year abroad at the London School of Economics. After that, I was a traveling consultant for 4 years, until I realized that I wanted to change my life and do something that helps people. So, I decided to go to law school and become an immigration lawyer. I packed up my bags and my furniture and moved to NYC to go to Cardozo Law School.
Right now I work at a non-profit immigration legal services office in Brooklyn and live in Hamilton Heights, Harlem. I really love what I do and enjoy the challenges I face every day and the things I learn from every client.
I am very fortunate to have wonderful people in my life. I would like to add a special guy to that circle, and hope that I'll meet him, either here or through other channels.
