I'm someone who derives great pleasure out of laughter. Humor is in
important quality that anyone around me must have - friends or
otherwise. I laugh at the worst possible jokes ever told, which is
why a guy who is cute and dorky will probably keep a constant smile
on my face. I don't think there is anything better than an
infectious laugh.
I also enjoy having deep and meaningful conversations with people. I try to get to know and understand people on more than a superficial level. The ability to communicate openly and honestly is a necessity for me. I'm typically a good and quick judge of character, so I'm looking for someone who is comfortable in his own skin.
My ideal guy is tall, dark and handsome - isn't that the worst cliche? :) In all honestly, I am usually attracted to guys who are around my height or taller and who have a swimmers build. I'm a sucker for a cute smile. Personality is definitely more important, because the initial attraction only gets you so far (but it does need to be present.). As I mentioned above, if you are cute and a have a dorky sense of humor, you move up on this list.
As far as talking on the phone/emailing/meeting, I would much rather sit down in person over coffee, quiz you until you can't answer any more questions and see if there is any sort of connection. It's really not until you meet for the first time that you will have any sort of idea if there is a spark or not, which I don't think can be determined by the body of an email. :)
