My self-summary
I'm someone who derives great pleasure out of laughter. Humor is in important quality that anyone around me must have - friends or otherwise. I laugh at the worst possible jokes ever told, which is why a guy who is cute and dorky will probably keep a constant smile on my face. I don't think there is anything better than an infectious laugh.

I also enjoy having deep and meaningful conversations with people. I try to get to know and understand people on more than a superficial level. The ability to communicate openly and honestly is a necessity for me. I'm typically a good and quick judge of character, so I'm looking for someone who is comfortable in his own skin.

My ideal guy is tall, dark and handsome - isn't that the worst cliche? :) In all honestly, I am usually attracted to guys who are around my height or taller and who have a swimmers build. I'm a sucker for a cute smile. Personality is definitely more important, because the initial attraction only gets you so far (but it does need to be present.). As I mentioned above, if you are cute and a have a dorky sense of humor, you move up on this list.

As far as talking on the phone/emailing/meeting, I would much rather sit down in person over coffee, quiz you until you can't answer any more questions and see if there is any sort of connection. It's really not until you meet for the first time that you will have any sort of idea if there is a spark or not, which I don't think can be determined by the body of an email. :)
What I’m doing with my life
As far as my career is related, I'm working on garnering management experience in the IT field. I feel there is much more potential for growth with this experience under my belt.
I’m really good at
There normally isn't a piece of electronics that I don't enjoy getting my hands on. I enjoy configuring entertainment systems, as well as building PCs from scratch (hardware and software).

I'm do pride myself on being a great listener. On the same hand though, I offer free and unsolicited advice at times when I think it needs to be said. Sometimes people may not like it, but you shouldn't be telling me your problems if you don't want my opinion. :)

I can cook a mean Southern meal, as well.
The first things people usually notice about me
Either my smile, my legs, or my cute Southern accent when I allow it to come out.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I am a True Blood and Once Upon a Time junkie. I really like Grimm and The Good Housewife. Most nights, if I'm killing time, I will have MSNBC on my TV as background noise. I am particularly fond of Rachel Maddow and her martini making abilities. I do enjoy a good horror flick, but find there aren't any good quality ones these days.

I read books when I get the urge. The last set of books I read was The Hunger Games Trilogy. I started Fifty Shades of Gray a couple of months ago, but I could only get through half of it. I read a lot online, especially about politics, in order to keep up-to-date.

I would say my favorite food is either a good Southern meal or anything Indian cuisine. I do really like Mexican, Thai and Italian. After all, who can turn down pasta and pizza?
The six things I could never do without
My house
My dogs
My friends
My family
A job

Other things might include my iPod, my phone (no, I am not a true Apple fan just because I have an iPod), my PC, my other electronics and my super comfortable bed. :)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future...I have a strong vision of what I would like it to be.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends or hanging out with my dogs.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am a slowly recovering shampoo-aholic. At one point, I had about 6 bottles of different shampoo. What can I say? I like shampoo that works well! ;)
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like guys
  • Ages 25–40
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners
You should message me if
I think if you are ready to meet someone new, if you liked what you read and see, then just go for it. I'm the furthest thing from pretentious and am always up for meeting and talking. If we wind up not having a connection, then there is absolutely nothing wrong with making new friends if that is something that we both agree upon. What do you have to lose?
