My self-summary
I'm a socialectualite. Computer programmer by day, rock star by night. At least in my dreams. Music is my happy place.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a software engineer, that is my career... I drink beer... I just saw a deer. Unfortunately, no one's paying me for rhyming... also no one's paying me to stop rhyming :)

I have many hobbies. Mainly, I play guitar and I engage in various sports that involve hurling myself from mountains and out of airplanes (snowboarding, skydiving). I also enjoy tamer sports, like biking, rollerblading, ping-pong. When I'm in a lazier mood, I like catching sun rays at the beach, or hanging out with friends over food and beer. TV watching is reserved for when the weather's really bad. And I'm not talking about snow -- I love snow!
I’m really good at
- Telling oat honey-combs apart from corn honey-combs.
- Doing things that require a lot of coordination.
- Chopping things with the edge of my hand.
- Walking fast. Really fast. I hate to brag, but I've never seen anyone walk faster than me in the entire city.
The first things people usually notice about me
Beard. Once they get over that, they notice that I look very young. They don't say it, of course, because they think I actually am that young.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: My favourite book to read is Wikipedia, and my favourite authors are Deitel & Deitel. I do enjoy reading fiction ("Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"), but most of the good books that I've read were written in Russian ("Childhood, Adolescence, Youth" by Lev Tolstoy, "Children of the Underground" by Vladimir Korolenko, and translations (mostly by Pasternak) of Jack London, Joules Verne, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Robert Louis Stevenson, etc.)

Movies: The Usual Suspects, Untouchables, The Princess Bride, Office Space, Seven, Swimming With Sharks, BASEketball, True Lies, The Shining, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, SpaceBalls, Star Wars (the original ones), The Incredibles, Lorenzo's Oil, Amélie, Serenity, Простая История (2006), Джентльмены Удачи.

TV Shows: The Simpsons (up to the end of 9th season), Family Guy, Scrubs, Gargoyles (seasons 1 and 2), Firefly, Transformers (all the original seasons, none of that Beast Wars or Armada crap), Reno 911, Seinfeld, Teacher's Pet, The Weekenders, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Spin City (the Michael J. Fox seasons), Pride, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Robot Chicken, Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law, The Venture Bros. and anything on the Science Channel or Discovery Wings :).

Music: The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, My Morning Jacket, Sophie Madeleine, and many many more. I write music as well; hopefully, I'll record something soon.

Food: anything tasty! Mediterranean tops the list, but anything really... French, Italian, Indian, Thai, yada yada. I like my food *cooked* and salted/spiced. I stay far away from things that still move on the plate. I don't have a sweet tooth, but I do like cheesecake, chocolate, etc., but not things that are made up of 99% sugar... like cupcakes. I have a serious addiction to peach Snapple.
The six things I could never do without
In order of importance:
1) Music
2) You (awww!)
3) Internet
4) Oxygen
5) Food & Water
6) Sleep
I spend a lot of time thinking about
- Etymology and grammar.
- For clarity's sake, why not replace the ubiquitous "I hate to brag, but..." with the more honest "I love to brag, and..."?
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with friends, drinking beers.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–35
  • Near me
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You like beards.

Also if you're thinking "Who is this asshole who rated me 4-5 stars and didn't bother to message me?" Look, the truth is: about 1 out of 100 replies to my messages, which started as clever remarks and observations, and eventually watered down to "Hi, how are you?" because I no longer wanted to spend the effort. So, if I you get a message from the cute little Cupid Automaton that I rated you 4-5 stars, that means I liked you. Maybe I liked your face, maybe I liked something on your profile. If you care to find out what it was, shoot me a message. I won't bite. Promise.
