I am fun, sarcastic, and stuborn.

My Self-Summary

Hi. My friends are on here, and they all seem to really like it, so, I joined to see what all the fuss is about. I just graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Major in Criminology and a minor in Psychology, and am currently taking a year off. I like to draw, paint, and sew (which is what i appear to be doing with my year off). I am of the Roman Catholic belief, however I am very open to other religions.
I am a sarcastic person, and therefore I love to joke. Don't get into a joking war with me if you can't take it as good as you give it. Because I'll take you down, lol.
Most of my friends are either gamers or anime lovers. Which is fine with me, because I do like anime, and I enjoy watching people play video games. That, and I find that the anime and gamer community are WAY more ammusing than alot of other ones. Who else would tell you that the cake is a lie? Honestly now. If you can tell me what cosplay is (without looking it up) than you get a bonus point.
I tend to fluxuate between being the really quiet girl around, to being the girl with all the crazy ideas. It really depends on how I feel that day. I can honestly say my personality fluxuates alot, but hey, I have to keep my friends entertained some way.

What I’m doing with my life

Currently, I am just living my life as it comes at me. I plan to go back to school next year to get my Masters in either social work, criminology, or psychology. In the mean time, I'm trying to live my life to the fullest before retunring to the evil institution known as University, lol.
The major goal of my life is currently to help children who are victims of sexual assault. I plan on volunteering at the womens sexual assault center in May.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books- I work in a book store, so asking me to pick a favorite book seems pretty unfair to me :(. I usually like like to read things in literature and fiction, as well as fantasy. I'm always up for a litlle bit of political controversy as well, and anything true crime also sparks my interst.

Movies- I'm not picky when it comes to movies, but I seem to perfer comedy's. I am a strong believer that laughter is good for the soul, and Hot Fuzz seems to be very good for my soul, as well as Frasier (not a movie, I know, but still worth mentioning all the same). I do love films that have strong political messages as well, hence V for Vendetta would be one of my favorite movies.
And although I realize I am 21 years of age, I have yet to find an animated Disney movie that I am not in love with. In my defence, I want to be a child counsellor, and to understand children, sometimes you have to live like one. That's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it.

Music- I love music that elicits an emotion out of me. Linkin Park, Nightwish, and Within Temptaion are my favorite bands.

The six things I could never do without

1- My family- I love them (most of the time)
2- My friends- who I also love
3- Milk and Cheese. Dairy products were God's gift to me, I swear.
4- My ability to draw. I need creative outlets.
5- E-mail. With all my long-distance friends, paying for postage would put me in the poor house, starving and all.
6- Music, without which I'd have little inspiration in life.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I think?
Just kidding.
I think about my friends alot, and I love to think about my next vacations. I'm hoping to go to Australia, Africa, and Eygpt soon. I may also be re-visiting Peru, which was just so amazing the first time I went.
Thanks to my father (who likes to elicit the argumentative side of me), I spend alot of time thinking about politcal issues.
Like everyone else, I like to think of the future, and try to find out where I will in 5 years. In my golden version of the future, I'll be a child therapist with a pet pinguin. For some reason, the more rational side of me feels as though only 50% of that dream is possible.

On a typical Friday night I am

Probably going with the flow. I usually spend Friday nights with friends, or at work (how exciting is that, eh?). I'm not one for the bars or clubs, or the rediculous amounts of alcohol usually involved with those things (although I like to go out like that every so often, it's not something I do often at all). Because of this, I'm usually just chilling at a friends, or seeing whatever new movie is out. Shopping is also something that's good for a Friday night.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Can you keep a secret? Because I can ~.^

You should message me if

If you want to. It's as simple as that really. Besides, your message will probably distract me from my Masters applications, which is something I welcome with open arms.
