I love my life.

I'm incredibly adaptable. I transition rapidly. I'm a hard worker, friendly, and ambitious. I appreciate genuine kindness over proper manners and humor over book-smarts. I'm easy-going and I believe that variety is the spice of life. I consider myself open-minded. I'm also very honest.

I grew up pretty poor, and I feel like that gives me a unique perspective of things. Even if I have a college degree and a wonderful career, I will always identify well with the working class and what it means to be apart of it.

Some activities I like: Playing on the swings, finding ghotst towns, playing almost anything outside, swimming, walking, dancing, writing, surfing (really body boarding), coloring, crafts, and writing. I occasionally enjoy geekier hobbies, (video games, comic books, tabletop games, and anime), but these are in moderation. I like a balance of lots of different kinds of activities. I understand that my activities may have been limited by time or money, so I am open to trying new things too!

I'm also very silly and light-hearted. I love adventure of any sort.

My friends are very important to me. I consider them my family.

I've graduated from The Evergreen State College, and I currently hold an AmeriCorp VISTA position with the Boys & Girls Club. I love it, and I hope it leads me to a great future in the nonprofit sector.

Laughing at EVERYTHING, sometimes making people laugh, seeing the positive side of things, working hard, surviving difficult times. I'm also pretty low maintenance. Being loud. Being childish. Inserting my large feet into my mouth.

I'm tall, I have long (pretty long!) hair, and I laugh loudly. People say it's really easy to pick me out of a crowd, but I'm not sure what that means.

My favorite kind of food is definitely Mexican, but I like all kinds, and I'm willing to try new kinds.

I like boring books; nonfiction, some fiction, social justice, skill books, and children's books. In movies I like comedy, action, stuff that's fast-paced and keeps my interest. Music: I like almost everything, but I get pegged for liking classical rock the most. I'm too impatient to list them all, but one day it will happen!

I was raised in an alcoholic, drug-addicted, abusive family/home. I have been out of that environment for a long time, but I still have to interact with the patterns my childhood created.
