My self-summary
I'm originally from the Bay Area, love my life and work, and visit family in Croatia every summer. I grew up playing sports that no one cared about, like swimming, water polo, and soccer. I've lived in Eugene, Boston, and Los Angeles for work, and while I loved those places, my heart has always been in San Francisco. I'm easy-going in my personal life, but intense with work, and I love being with people, but also enjoy being alone sometimes. I wanted to be a monorail operator at Disneyland as a kid, and that still sounds like a great idea sometimes : )
What I’m doing with my life
Curing diseases and taking names. Looking for a partner in crime who is interesting, passionate, and kind.
I’m really good at
Making the most out of life, making good (and bad) jokes, writing, listening, bowling, playing the drums, mixing paint, cutting glass, threading pipe, and cutting wood.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Anything and everything that is artful, soulful, funny, delicious, or meaningful. Music: classic rock, 80s, Top 40, and anything else that can get me up to dance. TV: Arrested Development, Breaking Bad, The Office, Scandal, Friday Night Lights, Newsroom, The Daily Show, Colbert Report, and many others; college football and basketball. Movies: Forest Gump, Il Postino, Anchorman, Love Actually, Austin Powers, Memento, Fight Club, Wedding Crashers, Old School, and a lot of other movies I can't remember right now. Food: I'm on a see food diet -- I eat everything I see.
The six things I could never do without
Family, Friends, Science, Croatia, Swimming, and... You?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Science, people, culture, current events, and the like.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either in or out. I love dancing, trying new restaurants, and going out for drinks, but I'm also fine staying at home and watching a movie or chatting over wine. Just depends on the mood!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I hate writing profiles and messaging people on OKCupid. I'd much rather get to know you over a warm cup of coffee, cold beer, or delicious meal.
You should message me if
... you are interested in getting to know a nice, down-to-earth, relatively smart kind of guy.
