My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am originally from upstate NY, but I moved to the great state of Maine in 2005 to go to school. Since graduating from college I have been working in the outdoor education field focusing on sea kayaking and sailing on the Maine coast. During the school year I teach natural history to elementary school students and in the summer lead extended wilderness trips with teenagers on the ocean. I really enjoy spending as much time as possible in the sun and moving my body!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Living the dream.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being sassy, ocean navigation, cooking, kayaking, pretending I am a mermaid, animals, camping, painting my toenails, eating all of the rice krispies treats, coloring, identifying things I find outside.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am pretty short and sometimes wear big nerdy glasses because I have poor eyesight, I also laugh loudly and often.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I don't have a television but when I have time I enjoy medical dramas,(ER, Grey's Anatomy, Scrubs, Nip Tuck) and disney movies (The Little mermaid, Alice in Wonderland, My favorite is Paulie, which is about a talking parrot.) I also like regular movies too but childish movies help me relax and zone out a bit. I really like documentaries like Planet Earth, Blue Planet, and Life. David Attenborough has a voice like butter. Smooth and spreadable?
I listen to a lot of different music from top 40 to bluegrass and love stories about true adventures on the ocean or in the wilderness. Like Adrift, A Walk in the Woods, Dove, The Heart of the Sea...The Ocean Almanac is an amazing book I am obsessed with full of cool sea lore and facts.
There is not a lot of food that I don't like to eat besides potatoes. They are just so yucky! My favorite foods include cheese, mango, avocados, olives, kimchi, cherries, salad, crusty bread and wine. I could eat those things everyday. But my guilty pleasure is rice krispies treats.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. The sea
2. Burt's bees chapstick
3. Coffee
4. Fuzzy animals to cuddle
5. Avocados
6. PBR
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Everything(my mind is like a drunken monkey), and the ocean.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably in bed by 9.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am afraid of vomit, gorillas and bees. And its hilarious that I hate barf because I work on the ocean a lot and sometimes people get seasick.
