What I’m doing with my life
Working, working out, going out, staying in. Rinse and repeat.
I’m really good at
I'm a good cook. Here's hoping that the old saying about the way to a man's heart still applies. Some recent dishes:
- spicy chicken meatballs with homemade marinara sauce
- quinoa salad with dried cranberries, toasted almonds, and spinach
- Thai peanut noodles with chicken and veggies
- sausage and kale stew with olive oil mashed potatoes
- pork tenderloin with a port dried cherry sauce
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Oh, so many things to list here. I read a lot. For work, for pleasure, fiction, non-fiction, magazines, cookbooks, travel books. I like movies, leaning towards independent, quirky, and foreign films and documentaries (and anything by the Coen brothers). I have very eclectic tastes in music (Amy Winehouse, Beatles, Snoop Dogg, Black Crows, Cowboy Junkies, Lauren Hill, Paul Simon). I'm kinda a foodie. That doesn't necessarily mean snobby, because I'm happy with great food in a hole in the wall place. I just want good food - food that someone took pride in making.
The six things I could never do without
Sunshine - Fresh fruit and vegetables - Meaningful relationships - Being in nature - Good books - Exploring the world.
On a typical Friday night I am
So many fun Friday nights. A few recent ones include: sitting around the fire pit on my patio drinking prosecco with friends; a late dinner listening to jazz with friends; and curled up on the couch with netflix and Thai delivery.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My grandfather writes poems about my grandmother who died 2 years ago. They were married 68 years. I taught him how to send them to me as attachments in email. Every single one has made me cry. I want love like that.
I’m looking for
  • Straight guys only
  • Ages 36–50
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating
You should message me if
You're willing to take a chance and send me an email (and you know that this site doesn't always tell me if you've rated me highly). You think that good food is meant to be shared. You understand that day-to-day appreciations matter far more than grand gestures and that actions count for more than words. You find joy in simple things like sitting by a fire or walking on the beach. You would call me just to tell me to go outside and look at the moon, and you live in LA.
