Update 8/8/2009: Greetings and salutations. I've been through a lot this year...so I"m feeling pretty specific in what I"m looking for right now. But first...I have to talke about myself?? Hrmm... I'm currently involved with two fantastic men. I have an amazing husband, Alex, who is an incredible person and I love him dearly. I also have a wonderful secondary partner, loganony who has become one of my very best friends in the year and a half we've known each other. I am still very open to meeting new people, especially some strong women...I need some positive female influence on my life. Just know that my current relationships are high priorities in my life.

ALSO PLEASE NOTE: I am a married, poly woman. I really have NO interest in talking to people who are just looking for their own marriages. I wish you all the best of luck, but really...when it comes to the men in my life I"m all set thanks!

I'm orginally from Rochester, NY...lived in Princeton, NJ for four years during college, moved to Brooklyn after that, now living in Jersey City...but I'm looking to move back into NYC soon. I love theatre and music, I'm a born and bred Yankees fan, I consider myself a mild-mannered gamer chic. I can't resist Geeks, especially if they will challenge. I find myself becoming closest with those who actively challenge me...and who can appreciate my geeky nature. I am most DEFINITELY not the girl I was when I was 20, or 24 for that matter. Well...truthfully I"m not even the girl I was a year ago...but there are moments in our lives that will do that to us. I have made huge mistakes in my life, but what the hell...I'm not perfect, but no one is so get over it, kids.

I should also note that I am a polyamorous person. If you want to understand, message me and ask. This is not a swingers situation. Just because there are other involvements does not mean I am looking for random, meaningless sex. Don't misunderstand...I like sex and playing and having fun. And I have been told I am an excellent kisser...however I like my play to be very meaningful... I am looking for people I can have connections with, whether friends or otherwise. :-)

Focusing on a few things. Finished my master's at NYU in sept 07 so I is officially smart!

In the process of developing what I like to call gumption. Finding my own path, figuring out how to live life, be as good to people as I can(because being nice to others makes me happy) while still taking care of me. Also...I like corny. I'm looking for corny in my life. (yes I stole that from a movie, but I don't care...it's a good line!)

Teaching, singing, acting, dancing, listening, being goofy, cuddling, loving, swimming, knitting, sillyness, driving, being all around fabulous!, squeeking, there is nothing that makes me happier than working a show(I do lights and stage managing mostly but I have all the skills necessary for your technical theatre needs) or teaching a new generation to love what they are doing.

my eyes...see, I am Italian/Irish by heritage but to look at me...there is decidedly little evidence of the Irish. My features are VERY Mediterranean/Italian looking. Except for my eyes...they are a very bright goldish green and I have always believed them to be my best physical feature.

my affectionate-ness...I LOVE to be affectionate. I will hug, cuddle, and be all around snuggly with anyone I find interesting, but especially with those I care about and I have always considered this to be my best mental feature.

also, let's be honest...I am not a small gal. I am okay with that, and frankly if you aren't than just keep right on walking. I am trying to get into shape because I've been sick for a lotta years and finally am starting not to be...but that's about a state of health and how I feel, not look. I think I'm fantastic the way I am.

Ummm...wow...

Books: Anything by Barbara Kingsolver, Amy Tan. Also lots of fantasy and sci-fi. I just recently started reading some of the Discworld stuff(which various people have been trying to get me to read for ages). Let's be honest here, I have read Lord of the Rings at least a dozen times, LOVE the Harry Potter books and I know they're real popular right now but oh well. I have also read a lot of Isaac Asimov and Marion Zimmer Bradley, so I'm not a complete loss. I also like to re-read Shakespeare whenever I get a chance.

Movies: WAY too many that I love, but my favs are Labyrinth, The Princess Bride (and yes I can quote the entire movie...don't believe me, just come on over one night and we will see about it punks!), Lord of the Rings, The Goonies (child of the 80s here), and any 80's or B-horror films. I also have been a Star Trek fan since birth as my dad had no one else to watch it with him. Well, that meant I grew up into the kind of 13 year old who dragged her dad to conventions; including the big 25th Anniversary one in Toronto where I met the late great James Doohan(among MANY others, but he was my fav).

Television: Addicted to Heroes in this house, as well as House, MD. I have recently discovered How I Met Your Mother and I'm hooked. Firefly is amazing, but then again it has Nathan Fillion so of course it is! Again, love all things sci-fi. We are currently making our way through all of Babylon 5 and will be moving on to Battlestar Galactica or Stargate SG-1 next.

Music: Almost everything. and I mean, almost everything. not much rap, country, or death metal. But musicals, opera, jazz, hard rock, rock, punk. I love LIVE, the Indigo Girls and Sarah Mclachlan. I am also a Justin Timberlake fan, there I admit it!!

Food: Grew up in a very traditional, old-fashioned type Italian family so it's not my fav but it is what I know how to cook the best. Come over anytime, I make an incredible lasagna and the sauce is done from SCRATCH (none of this bottled stuff). Fav foods: sushi. I would eat it every day if i could. Although I like lots of kinds of food, I'm not really picky.

1.) My car...I love to just hop in it and go somewhere randomly...and if we get to be friends I *may* just happen to show up at your door one day so be ready!

2.) My cat, who is cute, little, and loves to cuddle.

3.) Music, or the ability to create it

4.) The people I care about...they are everything to me.

5.) My computer, I admit it, I'm an internet addict.

6.) Art...music, theatre, anything...I like the aesthetic sense of things.

My life, how to make it better, the future, the past.

My spirituality and where I am in the process of figuring it out.

The world...how to make it a better place because it's just out of control.

Sex and play...been exploring my sexual side even more in recent months and I am liking what I'm discovering. Just wasn't expecting it.

My friends and family...how I can make them happier, healthier, and stronger people and ways I can show them I love them even if they are far away. A good number of them are far away.

Friday nights are typical?

I have been at my highest and my lowest and I'm ok with that. So I guess what I'm saying is that I'm not perfect...but news flash kids, no one is are they?

Also...I am a very complex and varied individual so don't expect to learn everything all at once. ;-)
