I'm a writer/web developer for an entertainment website (think
celebs, tv, movie, musc - not adult movies!). I'm an avid
video games
enthusiast,
nerd,
whatever label you wanna give me - just know that it goes much
deeper than that.
I'm looking for someone active, mentally and/or physically. I'm
afraid of heights, so don't expect me to go rock climbing without a
harness on our first outdoor date. But if I am afraid of something,
I will tell you (I just told you I'm afraid of heights! See how
well we're getting along?!?)
I suppose I have a thing for geeky girls, but I can't put a finger
any any particular "type" that I crave.
I am a hard worker in the office and I
work out intensively about 3 hours a
week. I also like to
bike once in a while, weather permitting.
On the weekends I hangout with my
friends, and currently I am learning how
to make
beer -
considering a trip to Bavaria, and possibly a job as a
brewer if my current
employment falls through (I don't think it will, but I like backup
plans).
I enjoy
writing,
making people laugh. I'm a dabbler - I try all sorts of things.
I'm squinty. Thus the username. If anything so much resembles a
smile crosses my face, the eyes disappear. And even without a
smile, they're pretty squinty anyway.
Books:
comic
books, as long as they are intellectually stimulating.
Movies: Name a movie that came out between 1975 and 2005, and my
Step Dad probably owns it in his massive collection - so I may have
seen it!
Music: Apples in Stereo, Coheed & Cambria, Hot Rod Circuit, LCD
Soundsystem, Modest Mouse, Reggie & The Full Effect, Saves The
Day, Say Anything, Sparta, The Bees, The Flaming Lips, The Get Up
Kids, The Walkmen, Alien Ant Farm, Audio Learning Center, Ben
Folds, Franz Ferdinand, Incubus, Jack's Mannequin, Kenna, Motion
City Soundtrack, Muse, Something Corporate, The Clash, The Cure, We
Are Scientists, Beastie Boys
Food: I'm an omnivore, but I maintain a smart, balanced diet - my
mom is a bit of a nutrionist, so I get it from her.
All the dumb stuff I've done. But it usually passes after I realize
most people don't remember it. Also, I go on random tangents in my
head, and usually forget how the thought chain started once I'm
finished.
Out with my friends, going somewhere to eat and drink. It's
Connecticut - not exactly an exciting place for people my age.
You're interested. You don't need to make it all that detailed;
just say hi. I don't mind chatting.
