I am random, clumsy, and smart.
My Self-Summary
I would love to be able to say that I'm a simple girl, but the
reality is that I'm not. I don't think that any person is ever
actually simple. I love the little things. The beauty of snow, the
cold, the smile from a stranger after they've just seen you do
something stupid/awkward/clumsy that reassures you that life will
continue. I love proper grammar, and a crisp apple. I love my
family. They're absolutely wonderful - and I find that many people
don't understand my relationship with them because the typical
family isn't as close as mine (aside from one estranged sister).
I'm ridiculously awkward, overly clumsy which has resulted in way
too many scars, and I absolutely hate doing dishes. However, I'll
gladly cook. :). I wish that I was shorter so that I could wear
heels and not feel so uncomfortable about towering over many of the
people that I'm around. I like sleeping in cold rooms with tons of
blankets and sweaters are like my comfort food. I have a
love/respect relationship with animals and I know their place in
this world. I firmly believe in eating meat (where else will you
get your vitamin B-12?) and that animals are here to serve our
needs in many ways, though I still believe in the bonds that can
form between animals and humans and that those bonds are precious.
I'm from the second largest city in Maine but my family is from
surrounding smaller towns - so I identify with small town life as
well as "city" life. Though where I grew up isn't exactly normally
considered a city. I like to read, watch tv/movies, drive, spend
time with friends and family, work with animals, cook, swim (I swam
competitively for 13 years), drink coffee, create awkward moments,
sew, avoid cleaning, and decorate my room. I'll admit that I'm
probably not the easiest person to get along with in the world. I
have high standards of morals, right and wrong, social graces and
general behavior. I expect a lot out of people, which is probably
bad. I'm not a huge fan of drinking. I myself don't drink, I will
try it once I am 21, however. I like to think that I'm caring,
thoughtful, unique, interesting, smart, and most of all humble, :].
But, I'll let you form your own opinion of me. So, bring it on!
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently a student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln
majoring in Animal Science with a Pre-Veterinary Medicine option.
Even though I'm far away from home to study I still like it here. I
like most of my classes, and I love the friends that I have made
here. I’m hoping to become an RA next year, and if I go home for
the summer I hope to find a new job, as the one from last summer
was kind of horrid.
I’m really good at
Falling down. I have no grace.
Cooking. I make an amazing panini.
The first things people usually notice about me
I love to talk, and I can say some really awkward things
occasionally.

The six things I could never do without
1. Family - they're my entire world.
2. A hair elastic - I think better when my hair is up.
3. My computer - I'm a compulsive email checker.
4. My cell phone - I'm also a dutiful texter.
5. A good book - it can keep you entertained in any
situation.
6. Contacts - I don't like glasses and without one or the other I'm
as blind as a bat.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future, my education, my family and my friends.
On a typical Friday night I am
Doing something different than last Friday. I don't drink and I
don't party but I still have fun. Yesterday night (Friday night) I
went to a movie with a few friends and then we painted pottery in
downtown Lincoln. Friday nights are versatile.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'm afraid of failure, I'm afraid of not fitting in and not being
wanted.
You should message me if
You have a sense of humor, are family oriented, and think that
randomness is a good thing. . I prefer non-smokers as well as
people who either don’t drink or don’t drink to excess as a common
theme, and people who don’t do drugs. Obviously I have a little
list of sorts of all the things I think I want – but I think that
holding myself to that list or limiting others based on that list
is dumb. No person will ever come packed and defined into a list,
and every person has a combination of characteristics that is
unique and combines into a person with qualities that I would never
have expected and that’s what I like in a person – the unexpected
traits that make them an individual.
