Hi there everyone

I'm to the point where I've been in Seattle long enough that I feel myself turning into a weather wimp. I'm beginning to feel cold at temperatures that I would've considered balmy 5 years ago. I think my blood is thinning out or something...

That being said, I have ton of fun around Seattle; making new friends (although it seems infinitely easier to do in the summer here), going to live music shows whenever possible, taking day trips, getting into the awesome wilderness that surrounds the city, or sometimes just being a lazy hermit. Whatever I'm doing, I find it difficult to get bored. I've always been able to entertain myself. Like my dad always said: "Only boring people get bored."

I'm on here to meet new people for dating, friends, new social connections, whatever. If you're laid back and friendly, we'd probably get along.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Spending the majority of my time with little people that refer to me as "Mr." It still sounds kinda weird. I teach kids. I do some other stuff too.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Canning food...I will master pickling. I will be prepared for apocalypse or a party with Bloody Mary's whichever comes first. Or both.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
"Boy, this guy owns an awful lot of T-shirts with pictures of animals on them...."
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I could talk at length about any of the aforementioned topics. I'm a big music junkie- mostly indie rock, jazz, folk and hip hop. Lately its been Civil Civic, The Lumineers, Black Milk, Skyzoo, Girls, Mayer Hawthorne, The Roots, The Black Keys, Andrew Bird, the list goes on and on..... I've had a hard time finding someone who's as big a music nerd as I. I know there's a woman like that out there, though. I hope that if I do find her she will be awesome in a plethora of other ways as well-- like she won't roll her eyes when I use the word plethora waaaay too much.

I've got what I consider to be an above-average knowledge of films. I'm a pretty good cook and a better baker. Recent literature might be my weak topic, unless you'd like to discuss books for 8-year-olds, and then I've got plenty to say.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Although this sounds like complete BS, I really don't think there's anything I couldn't live without. Humans always adapt, right? Does that make me sound cold? Even as I type this I realize I'm defeating the entire point of this question, but I don't care, I'm not erasing it. Take that.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I really enjoy conversations about what some might consider asinine topics. I appreciate people who can let conversations end of their own momentum, instead of changing topics or ending the conversation prematurely. If you consider yourself the type of person who rolls their eyes when others go off tangents, then we probably won't be buddies.

I'm actually a pretty interesting guy and I have a lot to say. Some might call me argumentative, but its all in the spirit of a good discussion.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm usually kinda crashed out early on Fridays, unless I hit up a happy hour somewhere. Tend to go out on Saturdays with friends instead.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm definitely non-confrontational, but I'm working on it. People have told me its a very Midwestern trait...

you are smart, fun and like meeting new people. It would be best if you liked good music and smart conversation, have a quick wit and don't take shit. Ooo that rhymed.

Oh, and you should probably have a relatively high tolerance for the type of guy who likes to celebrate inadvertent rhyming.
