My Self-Summary
I firmly believe that traveling, rearranging furniture, any form of
news, and coffee could keep me content forever.
The most relevant things about me: I find hypothetical situations stressful, I won the spelling bee in 5th grade, I can't raise my right eyebrow, and I do a mean impression of every character from Fargo (mostly because I lived next to it for a good portion of my life).
After spending [almost] my entire life in the Midwest, I decided to give Houston a try. I graduated from the University of Minnesota in May with ever so useful degrees in English and Philosophy and moved here shortly thereafter. Comparing average temperatures in January make me believe I made an alright choice.

What I’m doing with my life
I spend most of my day teaching Pre-K kids the alphabet and trying
to get a deeper understanding of our education system before
applying to policy school. I'm learning to love Houston and
enjoying the ability to become an outdoor runner.
I’m really good at
googling, finding humor in almost anything, remembering anything
and everything, and burning soup.
Perhaps some more attractive qualities is that I'm wonderful at listening, I am great at putting my whole self into all that I do, and I'm wonderful at mixing the qualities of agreeable and stubborn.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I love Transcendentalism (especially Thoreau), Virginia Woolf
(don't hate on To the Lighthouse), 1984, anything by Jonathan
Kozol, The Importance of Being Earnest, and I'm currently reading
Infinite Jest- which is sort of amazing. I enjoyed A History of
Love more than I'll ever admit.
My current rotation is Girls, Camera Obscura, Okkervil River, Animal Collective, Andrew Bird, Halloween Alaska, Fleet Foxes and the National.
The following foods are a sure bet: chocolate, cheese, tomatoes, or mushrooms.
There should be a section for tv, because I think 30 Rock is the best thing ever conceived.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
what implications social networking will have on our generation,

On a typical Friday night I am
