I am not nearly as much of a horny douchebag as the "Personality" section of my profile makes me out to be.

I'm a graduate from the UW Seattle with a degree in Linguistics and also a certified shorthand reporter (stenographer/court reporter) in WA State. I currently run my own freelance realtime captioning company. I caption classes, meetings, lectures, and other stuff for the Deaf and HoH and record depositions. What this means is that I basically write on a funky keyboard in shorthand which the computer translates into readable text at rates of up to 280 WPM. So basically I'm paid to transcribe and punctuate at speeds that are as fast as (and oftentimes faster than) that which people normally speak with >96% accuracy. My goal is to be able to simultaneously translate/interpret one language and caption it into a different language in realtime for legal proceedings, Deaf students in their college lectures, closed captioning, and hopefully be able to caption or do simultaneous interpretation for the UN. And yes this is how closed captioning on TV works. It's crazy shit.

Listening to people talk about their problems and giving them feedback and support. I'm generally good at anything that's musical. I speak 4-5 languages, so I'm good at that. And I'm good at getting off my ass to go to the gym or do some sort of heavy physical activity every one or two days. I'm also good at identifying Myers-Briggs personality types shortly after meeting someone.
