I can find the humor in just about anything, but that doesn't mean I don't also believe the world can be a horrible, cruel, cold place when it wants to be. I can see the magic in the moon rising over the ocean, the wind whispering through the trees, and a rocket roaring out of the atmosphere.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

I am most proud of the fact that every day, I learn something new. It doesn't matter if it's something trivial, like the fact that the leaves on the tree by my house never turn all the way red before they fall off, or something critical to my job, or something profoundly deep. As long as I've learned something, then there is no experience that I regret.

In other news, I'm a software engineer... though we'll see how long it lasts before I grow bored and need a new form of stimulation. I have an enduring love of space and the industries that support our exploration of the cosmos; perhaps I'll head over there next.

D) I've got a weakness for a really good hummus with BBQ chicken wings... thai food, japanese food, any true southern bbq (it's hard to find up here!), pasta... I like a lot of things. I also DON'T like a lot of things... so you know. It's kind of a tossup.

The six things I could never do without Propose an edit

Light. Laughter. Books. Mystery (because I could never stop learning!). The smell of sunshine in the spring (it has a smell. It does!). A trusted companion to anchor me when I start to drift away.

At the moment? I'm fascinated with 'armchair psychology'. That is to say, I love trying to figure out why people do the things they do. Cause and effect relationships are teh awesome.
