I'm not very good yet, and that needs IMMEDIATE rectification. Also? I want to learn to snowboard. And there needs to be more sledding this year.

Okay, so here's my new-and-improved data philosophy: I don't date. No, really. I've found that it just doesn't really work for me. How can you expect to go out and form a relationship with a complete and total stranger?! So what am I even doing here? Well, here's the new game plan: more friends! If you want to date me? Forget it. If you want to hang out and have fun (preferably in a group, to start) that's awesome! But we're not going to kiss, we're not going to sleep together, and we are not dating. So I'm terribly amused by all of the people who stopped to point out that 11 + 79 = 90. Thank you. I'm glad the Internet Police Squad is on the case!

However, I do hate the point out that I never said eleven percent. OkCupid seems to raise your completion percentages in the later stages by increments of two. Therefor, the eleven was in fact referencing that I had eleven more 'acts' to go before reaching 100%... for in fact 11*2 + 79 = 101 (okay, so perhaps there was a slight rounding error). But thank you Internet Police Squad, Arithmetic Division (may I call you IPSAD? excellent, thanks) for ensuring that the easily corruptible minds on teh Intarweb are not led astray by my 'nuMath' skills.

Anyways. For those of you keeping score, I've now reached 80% and I don't think this post will even count! Ah well. Such is life. I do appreciate everyone who took a moment to comment though-- I love hearing other people's perspectives on these things. I am moderately fascinated by the differences in behavior by the genders. And if you've been offended by the above, I apologize. That wasn't the intent. But seriously? Relax, dud0rz.

So what can I say in here that you, the illustrious reader, would like to partake? Are you really so interested in myself and what I have to say that you've bypassed the mindless drivel above, and are now waiting for me to reveal my innermost sekrets? I do hate to disappoint.

I had an interesting conversation with a young man on the site recently, involving the differing behaviors of men and women on the site. It was mentioned how it's 'expected' that men will be the ones to message, and that women will very rarely be the aggressors. In fact, that even seems to be a turn /off/. Is this true? I've even noticed this behavior (to a slightly lesser degree) in other gay/bi women.

So tell me-- is it weird for a girl to randomly message a guy? Is that a turn-off? Or does a guy like a girl who shows initiative? And how much is too much? Is it weird if a girl sends an email, but not an IM? I'm genuinely curious of the rules that seem to have sprung up in this corner of the internet. Any and all opinions on the matter would be much appreciated.

As an aside, if you send me an IM and I don't respond, it does not necessarily mean that I'm ignoring you. It does, however, most likely mean that I've wandered away from my computer (possibly for work or bed) and left the website open. No offense meant, I swear.
