Also, dancing in the kitchen while cooking, hopefully with that special someone, or just swing dancing by myself around the house with my kitty in my arms, forgetting about the housework I should be doing.
I also love the theater--pretty much anything. Drama, comedies, musicals, opera, ballet, contemporary dance, the symphony. Ashland, the Gerding, small intimate, experimental, community, you got me, let's go. Please, be fond of the arts or we will not be a good match.
Fine dining to a hole in the wall, great find, turns me on. I am a major foodie. Favorites: sushi, NW eclectic, seafood, Thai, Indian, Mediterranean. Love being in the kitchen with someone who enjoys the same. It can be very romantic, sensual, and sometimes over the top sexy. If our food burns, but we had fun...oh, well. ;-) There will be another day to try that dish. We won't starve. Trust me...
As for music, I love Motown, R&B, and classical. As I get older, I prefer jazz, classical, zen, or world music for daily background music. However, when I want to dance, most anything goes, as long as it makes me move. Artists, so many: Aretha Franklin, Frante, Jason Mraz, Mark Knoffler, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Prince, Bach, Chopin, etc. This is hard, because it is so in the moment. There is different music for every mood and experience...there is the music, the talent, our senses, who you are with, what you are doing, but in the end it is just being present. Does it feed your soul...? And if it does mine, it is all good. Found a new artist tonight on OPB, Jesse Cook; beautiful. Has a concert in Portland in April, 2013. Maybe, I will find a date by then. ;-)
Movies; there are too many, if they can make me think, feel, or laugh, I am a fan. Specifically, these come to mind: Love Story, Gone With the Wind, Bridge Over the River Kwai, Saturday Night Fever, Grease, Funny Girl, My Fair Lady, Circle of Friends, Remains of the Day, Room With a View, The Piano, Airplane, Talk to Her (Almodovar), Food Nation, Pan's Labyrinth, The Enchanted, Life is Beautiful, The Squid and the Whale, Ratatoullie, American in Paris, The Big Chill, Chocolat. It goes on and on. But, this should give you a glimpse of my tastes.
I read more non-fiction than fiction. Lately, Power of Focus. Favorites: Power of Now; Eat, Pray Love: and The Art of Happiness, by the Dalai Lama.

Oh, and I almost forgot! My toothbrush. I know it is more than six, but…rules are made to be broken so long as it does not hurt anybody, right?

If you would like to golf, dance, hike, listen to live music, or see an indie film, I would be up for it. Or, maybe the more obvious, a cup of coffee or glass of wine, just to to see...I am game.
If you are not reasonably on track for a comfortable retirement, we are probably not compatible. I am working hard to be, and that is what I am looking for in a partner. Can you believe, I have actually gone out with men in their late 50's and early 60's who think Social Security is going to take care of them? Ouch! Crazy...?
If you have read this far, I am so impressed, and I think it deserves at least a contact or wink. Please, don't be afraid to give it a try. I don't bite...just nibble lightly.
All my best to you on your search, which ever way you go.
