My self-summary
I'm in the business world but my heart is creative/artistic & my home flows with art & music. 6ft, blue/green eyes, slim/fit/athletic, adventurous, strong & gentle, smart, romantic, dependable, ambitious, daring, playful with a sometimes wicked smile & corresponding edge. I'm 58 but wanted to make the searches limited to 55.

I'm decisive but not very judgmental & believe the little things count. I'd like to call it small town values but I've never truly lived in the country. I'm monogamous & not because I have to but because I truly can't imagine otherwise.

I live in an 115 yr old Victorian house on a big tree-lined street in the Annex & love that I can easily walk to most of the city that holds importance to me although the subway is close & my bike & car are parked at the back. I'm somewhat practical but don't always follow rules well. I believe that we are all in this together. I love road trips & travel well.

In summary I see myself as open-minded with an open-heart, non-judgmental, kind, having a great sense of humour, a sense of romance, socially aware, honest, intelligent along with possessing a sense of spontaneity, passion, logic, masculinity, fitness & health conscious.
What I’m doing with my life
As I mentioned above, I'm in the business world but try to live every day at a time & make each one count. I try in my own way to make the world a better place even if it just may be some random act of kindness or a smile when no one else can find one. I believe in giving back & using my unique talents when needed to help make the world a better place. I'm searching for love & while the journey seems more arduous than I expected, I'm trying to enjoy the ride.
I’m really good at
I'm good to be around. I can be pretty funny - dry humour with absolute timing. I'm great at finding good music & bringing happiness to those around me. I'm good at problem-solving, as well & I can fix things. Other stuff, too.
The first things people usually notice about me
Ease of laughter & my blue/green eyes. A sense of style & presence. I seem to be easily remembered no matter how much time may have passed including several decades.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music is my favourite with Wilco, Tom Waits, Lucinda Williams, Pixies, Rickie Lee Jones, the Band, Ray Lamontagne, Jonathan Wilson, Amy Cook, the Felice Brothers, Neko Case, Nick Drake along with Erik Satie are some of many that I may enjoy. I like going to see indie singer/songwriters & bands mostly at smaller venues. The Patti Smith concerts at the AGO were amazing. I wake up to WFUV, New York City NPR, on my wifi clock radio.

The Coen brothers, Martin Scorcese, John Cassavetes, almost any film noir with In A Lonely Place & Double Indemnity at the top of the list, After Hours, Silver Linings Playbook, Laurel Canyon, Being John Malkovich, Galaxy Quest, Amelie, High Fidelity, Annie Hall & of course, Starman are some films that I enjoy. I love Alan Arkin & when we met & told him so & he gave me a big hug. Mad Men. I like going around the corner to the Bloor Cinema or a little farther west to the Revue. I enjoy live theatre, as well & my home flows with art & music.

One of my fun reads is Zoe Whittall's The Best Ten Minutes Of Your Life. I've always loved e. e. cummings. I like Neil Gaiman among others & usually glance you through a book or 2 at nearby BMV or Book City & if it captures my attention & then I may easily take it home. I enjoy going through a book of excerpts of Emma Goldman's Journals. I like graphic animals including my signed copies of books of Will Eisner & Art Spiegelman. The Sunday New York Times, of course & I have fun finding different blogs of interest on the net. I gave away my signed copy of Harlan Ellison's script of City On The Edge Of Forever to someone who appreciated it more than me although I liked it, too.

I love ashtanga yoga and have an interest in veggie/vegan food along with fish. I'll cook at home & have a wonderful gas stove of which I'm hardly able to achieve its true potential but I'm getting better with it. I look for local & organic food & like to shop at Kensington Market, Dufferin Grove farmers market, Fiesta Farms & the fruit & vegetable store at Bloor/Manning.

You should message me if
You are a reasonably level-headed, creative woman who is willing to take a chance, believes that she can fall in love (again) & would like to meet a daring, interesting man with a definite edge who realises that happiness comes from within. Hopefully, you are also optimistic, open-minded, and living a little (or a lot) outside of the box &/or if you'd just like to go out have some fun together. Living in Toronto is good, too.
