I am sensitive, open-minded, and giving.

My Self-Summary

According to OKCupid's gay spectrum test, I am mostly gay. I'm not seeking a relationship, per se. I feel like I need to expand my social network in Madison, since I'm probably going to be here a while.

I have 3 tattoos...really really want more. Interestingly, I have virtually no pain tolerance. I do not like pain, but I love the idea of having permanent art on my body, especially since I helped draw 2 of them. I am also turned on by tattoos on other people. majorly. real and fake. I like to draw on myself and other people..and like it when other people draw on me.

I like singing, dancing and photography. In my free time I doodle, paint, watch tv/movies and make jewelry- mostly earrings. I also like to go to clubs/bars once and a while for dancing and occassional karaoke.

I like talking. I can be awkwardly shy at first, but in the right group of people I can be a chatterbox. I'm also a good at listening when needed.

What I’m doing with my life

Looking at grad schools. I'd really like to stay close to Madison so I can keep my job and stay in contact with my Little Sister. we've been matched for a year and it's been a lot of fun. So far UW-Mad, UW-Whitewater and U of M Twin Cities are on the list.

Still working retail...at the service desk and in the children's department. I much prefer being out in the department instead of crammed behind the service desk, having to deal with so many customers.
I also do some volunteering at an LGBT center in Madison. Eventually I think I would like to specialize in counseling children and people in the LGBT community, so I feel like this is good experience for me. so far it is going pretty well.

I’m really good at

I've been told I'm really good at talking to people I don't know, typically I don't initiate conversations though. I'm a weird combination of introversion and extroversion.

I am a fairly good singer as well. Not great, but good enough for karaoke. I'm also incredibly skilled at making lists. Grocery lists, to-do lists, I make lots of lists. I'm pretty good at Excel spreadsheets and Powerpoint too.

I'm good with kids. I think this is because I'm not afraid of acting like a total dork.

The first things people usually notice about me

hm, I really don't know...I will ask some people and get back to this.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: the Harry Potter books, Dante's Inferno, The Scarlet Letter, Night by Eli Weisel, all books written by Tori Hayden. I also enjoy reading poetry, my favorite poets off the top of my head are Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Anne Sexton, Sylvia Plath, and Edna St. Vincent Millay.

Movies: Pirates (1, 2 & 3), Harry Potter, Sleepy Hollow, The Sixth Sense, But I'm a Cheerleader, Heathers, Interview with a Vampire, From Hell, Mask of Zorro, Practical Magic, Saved, Juno

I really like TV too, right now fav shows: The L Word, Criminal Minds, House, Buffy, Project Runway, ANTM, Top Chef

Food: I'm pretty much always in the mood for Chinese or Italian, I'm not a vegetarian or a health nut but I like tofu and dislike almost all condiments. NOT including ketchup. I just recently started eating ketchup on fries. only fries. Oh, and my all time favorite food, since I was very young, is mashed potatoes.

The six things I could never do without

cell phone, cable tv, birth control, internet, an occassional shoulder to rest on, a camera

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I worry a lot. About realistic and unrealistic things. Mostly regarding the health and well-being of friends and family. and myself. you wouldn't believe how many times I've had menengitis....

I also spend a lot of time thinking about the future. Mainly of being a therapist, seeing patients/having my own office, and having kids. I spend a lot of time thinking about having a family, also having a permanent home and how I'd decorate it and stuff. This all mostly when I have something in the present that needs my attention.

On a typical Friday night I am

a) working
b) out with friends
c) a then b
d) locking myself in my room watching movies all night

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm more desiring of love, and less of sex, than I like to let on.

I expect more from myself than I do from anyone else. In nearly every aspect of life.

You should message me if

You are interesting, nice, and know the difference between "its" and "it's".

Also, if you want me to reply, please don't just message me "hey what's up?". I never know how to reply to that. (if you give me something else to work with I will consider it)
