My self-summary Propose an edit

I am a college senior at Michigan State University. I am planning on attending grad school, med school or the peace corp after graduation. I love to travel and enjoy being around the company of my friends. I enjoy both entertaining dinner parties or lounging out at home for a movie night. I like to volunteer and think that giving back is one of the greatest things a person can do. I enjoy outdoor activities such as camping or winter sports. I also enjoy shopping at both major department stores and small boutiques or antique shops.

I am a great listener and have always been a good friend for a shoulder to cry on. People feel comfortable coming to me with their problems. I am a great cook and love to try new food and interesting combinations of food. I'm good at hosting friends over for dinner or cocktail hours. I'm really good at being a travel companion for any kind of trip: road trips, international getways, or just camping. I'm also a good handyman when it comes to fixing things around the house.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit

Books: I enjoy David Sedaris and think he is hilarious. Some others that I enjoy are: Cry the Beloved Country, the Color of Water, Brave New World. I also have a secret love for the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes.

Movies: The list grows; you can't take it with you, yesterday, maria full of grace, SATC, saint ralph, an unfinished life, como agua por chocolat, cote d'azur, imagine me & you, little miss sunshine, nausica, spirited away, mean girls, princess monoke, howl's moving castle, a love to hide, sleepover, LOTR, emperor's club, sometimes in april, reginas, hotel rawanda, pirate du caribe, the lost sons of sudan, angels in america, james bond (brosnan or connery), history boys, QAF, beyond the gates, breakfast at tiffany's

Music: First off, I can appreciate almost any kind of music. But I am partial to acoustic/Dave Matthews Band/Jack Johnson and Techno. When I get ready to go out for the day or night, I like to turn up some techno and dance around while getting ready. I will turn on some classical music sometimes while reading or cooking. The only type of music I don't enjoy is twanging country.

Usually, I'm out with friends at the bar or I am at home just hanging out with them. During football season, Fridays are ususally dedicated to preparing for tailgate on the next day.
