My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a refugee from the blighted state of Michigan. I fled my native land seven years ago after graduating from college, before the roaming bands of unemployed auto workers burned my ancestral manor to the ground. I barely made it out alive. Other Michiganders were not so lucky...

...but now I live the good life in sunny California! I'm an elementary school teacher at a private school in Aliso Viejo. This year I was promoted to vice principal. I work at a small, innovative school and think my job's pretty exciting. I can talk for hours about my school. It's completely different than any education I received.

When I take time off, I'm usually cooking, hiking, or playing exceptionally nerdy card games. I listen to audiobooks and podcasts nonstop. I'm always planning my next trip to the art museum. I'm also a big theater fan. Whenever there's a play by Shakespeare or an ancient Greek tragedy or some other classic on stage between LA and San Diego, I'm there. I also really like geocaching. Google it if you don't know what it is. It's kinda like treasure hunting.

Growing up, my best friend and I walked to school and back together. It was a ten minute walk, but we'd make it thirty minutes. We'd meander through parks and woods talking about everything that happened to us that day. As an adult, I've always looked for that in a girlfriend — someone I can have fun and talk easily with about anything and everything. I want someone who is articulate and introspective, who's good at listening and talking.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
See above.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-Visiting art museums.
-Arguing about the meaning of a movie.
-Helping a child who is crying.
-Making babies my best friend in 10 minutes. (I just did this with a cute little Turkish girl while waiting for a ferry in Istanbul)
-Admitting when I don't know something.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Physically, friends tell me my eyes and smile stand out. I was hoping they would tell me I have an ass that doesn't quit, but I guess they're just shy.

Personality-wise, people have told me that they like talking to me because I "actually listen and ask questions." I thought that was flattering.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I talk to my cat. It's hard because he's a communist and I'm a capitalist, but we keep the conversation civil.

Also, I use humor to cope with awkward situations.

You can spend more time discussing a movie or play than it took to watch it.

You have a good sense of humor but take your life seriously.

Also, I'd really like to receive a coded message. If you could do that, that would be super cool.
