My self-summary
---currently updating this and the questions too as its been a while--

My self-summary.... I like to think of myself as a good man. Honest, hard working and principled, a bit of a gentlemen. Polite and tactful; knowledgable about the world, and I enjoy good food and fine wine.

However I'm also passionate and adventurous. I love to travel and engross my self in new experiences. I'm pretty down to earth and humble, very thankful for the life I have. I can enjoy a good greasy spoon or a dive of a bar as long as the company's right.

I'm pretty friendly and happy in new situations and with new people. I'm comfortable opening myself up to some and I'm respectful and patient when they do the same.

I enjoy the simple things in life indulging my inner child and hot summer day. I love the smell of freshly cut grass and watching the wildlife. In contrast I also like meaningful debate, and enjoy an argument. I like good quality drink and I make a great cocktail. I enjoy the naughty side of a relationship, and love the intimacy it can bring.

I'm looking to meet someone online as I'm interested in meeting someone outside of my friend circle and outside of work. Drunken hooks in bars are fun but I have a feeling that I'm looking for something more meaningful.

To summarise the summary... I'm a bit of mix, and that's what makes life interesting for me. But mosly I'm a good guy and would love to meet someone who values that.

What I’m doing with my life
Currently I'm taking a career break. I know I'm going to go into teaching or mentoring in a few years, but I've decided to take a few years to focus on saving money and going traveling.

I've always wanted to travel the entire world, not just a gap year in Botswana or bumming around Thailand, but the whole thing. So I'm planning on saving a lot of money, sorting out visa and insurance and transport and a whole lot of things to leave this time next year. It's really quite exciting :-)

This isn't a fleeting thought, it's something I've already been working on for a few months and its my main focus now.
I’m really good at
Making people feel comfortable and confident, and giving good advice. That and working with people and thinking on my feet.

I also sadly fit into the tradiontial gender norm of being able to cook all types of meat well, especially over a open flame.
The first things people usually notice about me
Physically I'm not sure, eyes maybe? Personality wise my friends say I come across as very friendly, jolly and able to spark up a conversation with anybody.

Chocolate - always have a sweet craving after a meal that choclate really takes care of, in bar or Ben and Jerrys forms

iPhone - im not a person who is constantly texting/phoneing/facebooking but i use it all the time for work emails and netflix and maps and games and ...

The Internet - having all the worlds information at your finger tips is amazing, it's sates my need to check facts and an endless amount of blogs and news keeps me sane.

Travel - this is vague but I love to keep moving, whether that be a simple Sunday drive to the country or a grabbing the backpack and leaving for Europe for weeks by train, plane or automobile.

Theres space for one more..ill save that one for now.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future, I like to plan for every eventuality, however I'm still very flexible and love to be spontaneous. The planning I guess let's me really enjoy the spontaneous moments as I know no matter what happens things will be okay.

Also travling and seeing the world. Oh and how things work, I'm pretty curious about the world, always wondering how things work. I have a secret love of the terrible tv show " How it's made".
On a typical Friday night I am
Working sadly, but In my spare evenings I like I generally cook something creative and share bottle of wine and a bad film with my housemates. Or out and about Edinburgh to a bar, or concert, or movie if I can drag someone with me :-)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm very open about all parts of myself, I admire a persons willingness to ask.

I enjoy watching film trailers... It's a little weird, but I like to spend an hour every so often surfing the apple film trailer site and watching anything that's new.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 20–30

You should message me if
You fancy a getting to know me more and enjoy a good chat. You're open about yourself and enjoy challenging what I think and enjoy the same back. You can laugh at yourself and me and the little things, and have an imaginative sense of humour. Also if you're curious about the world and everything in it, that'd be awesome too.

I'm pretty left wing, I believe strongly in feminism and LGBTQ equality as well as combating poverty and I'm a firm believer in education and free healthcare. If you disagree with any of that you're probably not the person for me, however I'd happily discuss them with you.
