My self-summary
I can be really impulsive when it comes to getting tattoos, going on long bike rides, and fun stuff, like swimming in questionable waters, or shaving my hair into a bleach blond mohawk while blackout drunk. I capitalize/punctuate my writing willy-nilly, sorry about it.

I grew up in a place where I never fit in- so, I'm much happier being around misfits

But, I put my pants on over my head just like everyone else I suppose.
What I’m doing with my life
I have a Masters degree and I'm a bartender, as such I get asked that question way too much, but, trying to figure it out. See below.

I'm working on starting my own business (I cook: cater, personal chef, nutrition stuff, pop ups etc) - right now things are still in a growing stage, but it's exciting, I'm open to seeing where things best go, and well, I'm up for the challenge. Yolo ya know.

Also I told myself a few years ago I wanted to do a triathlon by the time I was 30. I'm 30 now, so here goes...
I’m really good at
Riding my bike, sleeping late (it's a talent I swear), cooking pretty tasty vegan food (also a talent, I swear) applying lipstick without looking in a mirror, linking everything to a Simpsons episode, & managing to eat triscuits in my sleep

I would like to get better at: fixing things, waking up earlier, stick n poke tattoos & surfing
The first things people usually notice about me
My cold 'don't fucking talk to me' face; or my pink bike
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
lots and lots and lots and lots:

Reads: post apocalyptic sci fi novels/novels with distopian futures. John Cheever, Raymond Carver - I really love collections of short stories (see also Marquez, Nabokov, Capote, Denis Johnson's Jesus' Son etc) I just finished Jon Waters' "Role Models" of course it was great. Bill Bryson's books always make me laugh & they're filled with interesting stuff, win.

Movies: the warriors, breathless, brazil, there will be blood, velvet goldmine, heathers, me without you, the godfather (1&2) I kinda have a thing for al pacino, and also like everyone, ryan gosling.

hmm tv. don't have cable, but thanks to streaming netflix/internet I can watch my favorites: superjail, sons of anarchy, arrested development, the simpsons (seasons 3-8), game of thrones etc. Also, Gossip Girl, sorry but it rocks and I'd sell my mom for a date with chuck bass

Tunes: the kinks, sleater kinney, kurt vile, the black lips, t. rex, david bowie (always/forever) the love language, the raincoats, ariel pink, the black angels, dinosaur jr, pj harvey, des ark, lightning bolt, the fall, the slits, black eyes, wire, rvivr, swans, QOTSA, god speed!, the pixies, nick cave, fleetwood mac, neutral milk hotel, the thermals, midlake, lucero, the replacements etc etc

Eats: bagels, sandwiches, snaccidents, hot sauce
The six things I could never do without
bagels
tunes
my bike
coffee
red lipstick/red wine
the beach
hot sauce (yeah that's 7)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where I can get food spicy enough to induce a spontaneous nose bleed
On a typical Friday night I am
working. unless I find something better to do.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I really want a scottish terrier named Otto Von Bark Bark
