I'm not a huge fan of being asked to summarize myself.

I just graduated from UW Madison with a BA in philosophy. I'm thinking about a career in publishing. For now I'm just working at a very basic job that I dont have to take home with me (CapTel) and enjoying being young in Madison. I love it here.

Making things grow, cooking for my friends and roommates, creating things - I knit, paint, sculpt, make jewelry, do a bit of sewing, etc. - , listening, supporting, diving (open water and nitrox certified, next step: advanced and rescue certification). I have too many interests, which can sometimes keep me good at too many things rather than great at a choice few.

Probably my tattoos or my eyes since they're crazy blue. The blueness is very much a gift and a curse. Yes, the color can be dazzling; however, my eyes are incredibly sensitive - I have to wear sunglasses at work to keep the combination of the computer screen and the florescent lights from making them spasm uncontrollably.

Too many to list entirely, so I'll just name a few for now.

Books: Cats Cradle (Vonnegut), The Sound and the Fury (Faulkner), The Shadow of the Wind (Carlos Ruiz Zafon), On Writting (Stephen King), The Magic Mountain (Thomas Mann), etc.

Shows: Face Off, Being Human, Parks and Rec, SNL, The Office, Trailer Park Boys, Louie, Grimm, etc.

Movies: The Graduate, Donnie Darko, Gladiator, Risky Business, The Breakfast Club, The Labyrinth, The Life Aquatic, Rushmore, Moonrise Kingdom, actually all of Wes Anderson's films in general, Fear and Loathing, Best in Show, too many more to type them all out.

Music: Metal, Grunge, Punk, Alt, Metal, some other genres selectively - if the song is good, some dubstep and electronic, Metal, Metal. Not a fan of rap or country, but I will listen to some Hip Hop or Pop, if the musicality is there.

Food: Sushi, Indian, Thai, Mexican, a lot of things. I just don't care for meat. I've been a vegetarian for almost 11 years, but I don't have a problem with people who do choose to eat meat.

You're open minded, you like to have adventures, you like to have bonfires, or you just want to meet someone new, maybe have a drink and some good conversation regardless of what direction that ends up heading in.
