Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm San Francisco born & bred and love it here, but have done
the travels and been to enough other places in the world to realize
it's not the "end all and be all." I lived in Korea for a few
years, traveled extensively, but have somehow kept Europe on the
backburner. I like to think of myself as book-smart and
street-wise, but also know I've always got more to learn. Emotional
intelligence and being good with the words are important to
Oh, and I've been a vegetarian all my life. So there's that.
I live and own a business in the Mission. So in all honesty I don't
make it out to other neighborhoods as often as I'd like, but always
appreciate it when I do. I really appreciate the community and
"village life" I've got going now.
I appreciate people that can and do write homonyms correctly, and
yet myself sometimes struggle to remember word spellings.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
A few years back I left a career in tech and started my own comic
book store and art gallery, which is going great! I'm still
learning to let go more and trust, but it's my baby.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I just got told how well I create a warm and inviting environment,
which I hear frequently. So I think I'm pretty good at that :-)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People say I'm a "genuinely pleasant person," friendly, nice, etc.
and super flattering stuff like that. When I'm my best I think I'm
pretty present and authentic with people, and it stands out
Oh yeah, and the whole "eyes" thing.

All the books! I read a lot, both for work and pleasure, with
favorites by Mark Helprin, Michael Chabon, Dave Eggers, Jonathon
Lethem. Lately I've been reading Science-Fiction
-y stuff thanks
to some lent books from some good friends.
I always seem to be a few years out of date on the TV shows. And
tend to like the longer serialized shows like The Wire, Lost, Six
Feet Under, Breaking Bad, etc.
For music, this week I've been listening to the new Arcade Fire
Lorde, M.I.A. and my friend Crashfaster's new album. Old fav's are
still Beck, Beastie Boys, Bjork and the Flaming Lips.
Foods! I like 'em. I had some yummy ramen last night, and eat
burritos probably too often. I recently discovered a local
that I LOVE
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
* San Francisco. I can imagine living other places, at least for a
short time, but SF will always be home.
* My family, and especially my siblings who are all amazingly
* Books and reading ;)
* Tacos from my favorite La Taqueria.
* All the fabulous people that I get to see and meet everyday
* Spiritual connection, whether it be my Buddhist
practice, time on the Playa,
or travel of some sorts.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Being a better, more compassionate, loving person, the possibility
of a "post-scarcity" society, and my business and continuing to
grow it in a challenging dynamic industry that I totally love
And Theo Jansen's work
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Catching an art opening, throwing an art opening, meeting up with
friends, or just keeping it quiet at home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I did the netflix streaming thing, and I'm enjoying it way more
then I ever would have expected. TV, go figure.
