I am adventure!, intrigue!, and mystery!.
My Self-Summary
I can't think of a really good way to describe myself, so I'll have
to settle for mediocrity:
Working as an in-house designer at a print shop while pursuing my
degree in design.
I don't believe in settling for unhappiness. Those who have the
means and abilities should always find whatever makes them happy.
I'm not setting unrealistic expectations, though--it's OK to be
confused and sad as long as you're learning and working to change
that.
I'm always willing to share my love and life with someone who's got
respect for his/her mind and body (and hopefully cares for others,
too).
What I’m doing with my life
Spending my life learning what it means to live: defeating apathy
wherever it slumps; learning to respect everyone's bodies and
minds; and developing my philosophy.
I’m really good at
Playing guitar while singing (though not particularly great at
either, separately). I love good, meaningful conversation while
holding a beer in my hand. I'd like to think I'm good at providing
one side of that kind of conversation. I've been proven wrong
before, though.
I'm caring, responsible, and a sincere conversationalist. I respect
everyone's time... I know how precious it is.
The first things people usually notice about me
The Red Hair, I guess.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Oh, shrimp. Hmm.
Books:
A Song of Ice and Fire series, The Road, The Catcher in the Rye,
Don Quixote (laughed so many times during these books that I
remember the laughter more than the books' events). Anything by:
Heinlein, Pratchett, Wodehouse, Adams--basically, anybody who can
poke fun at the sacred, obviate a convention's blanket of mystery,
and laugh at those who can't.
Music:
The Shins, Television, Muse, The Meat Puppets, Gorillaz, Band of
Horses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Wilco, The Replacements, Modest
Mouse, System of a Down, Golden Smog, The Zombies, Led Zeppelin,
Pink Floyd--way too many to name. The list would take forever. You
get the idea, though.
Food:
Home-cooked, tasty meals that can be shared. Some divine
combinations:
- Pineapple + cottage cheese
- French toast + applesauce
- Strawberries + banana + yogurt + maple syrup
- Pesto + hummus
- Good conversation + beer
The six things I could never do without
- Beer
- Music
- Friends + Family
- Video Games
- Exercise/Outdoors/Sun--Adventure!
- Good Food
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I spend a lot of time thinking about conventions. Psychology
definitely interests me, and I like trying to get to really know
people. I love good conversations and trying to puzzle something
out with somebody. It's the only time I feel like I really connect
with people.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out somewhere. Unless I'm not. In that case, I'm either reading or
playing video games. Or I'm possibly playing guitar. Or talking to
someone. Or maybe eating.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
In person I'm willing to talk about nearly anything. On here, not
so much. But yeah, I'm a pretty open person. I don't think there's
any reason for me to hide anything about myself... everything's
just an experience, anyway.
You should message me if
If you're into social drinking, video games, exercising, or going
on adventures. Always up for a good chat, too.
