My self-summary
It's hard to try to distill yourself down to a few paragraphs... but I'll try...

I've been described as patient, quiet, kind, loving. I guess those are all basic adjectives to try to describe a person, and I'm not inclined to disagree.

INFP... yea, I know. I navigate with feelings and then try to make logical sense of it. I try to speak only when it improves upon the silence, so that can make me fairly quiet and often shy when meeting new people if i'm not in the right mood or level of comfort. However-- get me started on a subject I'm interested in, and I'll talk your ear off.

The idealist in me always wants to give people the benefit of the doubt and believe that somehow what's supposed to be will just be-- somehow or another. As an experienced optimist, however, I'm often cynical and a bit of a smart-ass. Everything winds up being equated to a Louis C.K. or George Carlin bit in my mind.

I'm occasionally a frighteningly encyclopedic resource of random crap I saw once on the internet or read/saw somewhere once.
What I’m doing with my life
Looking for the answer to life, The Universe, and everything.

Fixing things. Is your computer being weird? I can probably fix it. Chair leg is too long? Where's my saw?

Looking for new things to do, places to go, and people to meet
I’m really good at
Not re-writing my okc profile. I'll get to it soon.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like the idea of books, and reading them-- I just always find myself losing interest 2/3 of the way through, or getting distracted with something else. Definitely interested in becoming well-read someday.

For moving pictures, I like your typical nerdy sci-fi stuff. Odd that it's become so mainstream. So that leaves us with the dilemma-- do we hipster-out and pretend it's not cool anymore, or do we just embrace the golden age of sci-fi and worry about getting stuffed into lockers again later on?

On Star Trek vs. Star Wars, I guess I'd say I'm kind of bi-- I'm not sure I can definitively pick one over the other. There are compelling arguments for the merits of each.

Aside from that, I enjoy films by Wes Anderson, The Coen Brothers, Gilliam, Kubrick, -- the list goes on and on. If it's good I probably like it. I realize how useless that statement is because everyone's definition of 'good' varies.

I wind up watching a lot of National Geographic, Science, Discovery or History Channel in the background when I don't have a baseball game on. I love learning how things are made, what they are made of and how they work.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to write a non cringe-worthy profile where I don't come off as intellectually elitist or insanely condescending.

How to eyeball a free-return Munar launch trajectory in Kerbal Space Program.

The fact that that atoms that comprise us and the world we live on were manufactured in the hearts of long-dead stars.

If the brain is a quantum computer, does that mean that sentience and intelligence can exist outside of a living body through quantum entanglement? Is there a universal consciousness?
On a typical Friday night I am
If I'm not cooking steak and watching cartoons with my daughter, I'm trying to find something to do-- whether it be out to a movie or hanging out with my friends. Typical stuff, you know.
