I'm a geek. I love technology. I'm a fan of science fiction, fantasy, computer gaming, superhero movies, the whole deal. I'm fascinated science and history and have a strong interest in finding out the truth about things. I have a job I enjoy and good friends to hang out with but I'd love to have someone special.

I don't seem to make the time to watch much TV and have recently canceled my cable service. Most of the shows I care about I can find online somewhere. I like to go to movies or out to eat, and wouldn't mind an excuse to go to concerts more often. I have little interest in sports.

I tend to be the quiet type but if you get me started on a subject that's important to me then you might have a hard time shutting me up.

My job is the thing that gets most of my time and energy. I enjoy building new software tools to help my coworkers and myself. I also try to keep up with current news and events.

I like to think I'm pretty handy with a computer. I'm mostly a Unix/Mac guy.

I'm a little below average height which might get noticed. In the winter I grow a beard and that usually gets some positive comments which I choose to believe are sincere.

Books: Dune. Lord of the Rings. The Foundation books. The Discworld series. The Dresden Files. Harry Potter.

Movies: I'm game for pretty much any sci-fi or comedy. Star Wars and the Alien movies are up there. Love Pixar films.

TV: Family Guy, Futurama, Venture Brothers, How I Met Your Mother, Archer, The Daily Show, Mythbusters. All time favorites include Babylon 5, Deep Space 9, Farscape, Battlestar Galactica, Arrested Development, Red Dwarf.

Music: Mostly rock, from the late 60s to modern stuff. Honestly I haven't followed the music scene closely since I was in college, I just know what I like. I'm NOT a fan of country.

Food: Favorite is Italian, love a good steak as well.
